Thanks for the definition, I really am out of date when it comes to some anime terms that's been flung around recently (the last 5 years or so).

I've never even thought of that pairing... That's a little odd to say the least but fans can dream... I always just interpreted his relationship with his father Duke Red as just that, father and son however the relationship itself is unhealthy on many different grounds (which I won't get into here)

I personally like the Black Jack/Rock pairing (it's not my favorite but it makes some sense to me), I'm not sure if I ship Rock with anyone else though in his other incarnations. He doesn't really have many healthy romantic relationships...

ah no! not yet! it's on my list though!

for rock pairings, i don't think i have a lot? it's more i like the idea of it more than me seriously shipping it (rock/tima, rock/sapphire, rock/my oc). one of my pairings is just a joke pairing, since it's two of my favorite characters smashed together and someone was like "ROCK JUST ASKED HIM IF HE COMES HERE OFTEN B)" and that is rock/hamegg. oh jeez.


i do like rock/tamami a lot though.

I honestly can't even remember that precise scenario, though I do know that he's had many girlfriends throughout his incarnations and he hasn't been the best to any of them. I think he was most successful with Midori in the Black Jack movie.

they were talking about how successful the vampire takeover was i think? then suddenly she's like "I LOVE YOU" and he got mad and threw her off. it was kind of jarring when i saw it in the manga, like i knew it was coming (i had seen people on tumblr post it and i reblogged it saying #rock and me) but wowee.

i'd be surprised if a pretty boy like him didn't have a girl on his arms, to be honest . and yeah, he was the nicest to midori (or xiaoliv as the hong kong subtitles called her) in "doctors of darkness". seeing that he was willing to die for her and give her his blood.
