though I do recall the excitement of the time. I had a model of the Saturn V rocket, complete with LEM/Eagle inside. I do not recall any details, though. I stank at building models.
I actually feel sorry for the millennials, as they take space flight for granted. We were expecting flying cars, domed moon bases, every house would have its own Gort-like robot servant, etc. :d evil: By now, we should have had colonies on Mars, whole generation born there, etc. But the hope for the future is so very different now than it was then. PCs & microwave ovens are great, but it seems the expectation for future developments is far more limited; that is, we already know what will happen, just not when. & the certainty of it is near 100%
