What Would You Like to See in a New Astro Boy Series?

Since we're having a reboot of the series courtesy of the French I think it would nice to share ideas of what we would to see out a new series that we may or may not have seen in prior renditions.

You can also expand this to just what you would like out of a new series in general, not just specifically for our newly confirmed reboot.

Was there a story that you wanted to see played out more that was originally in the manga? Would you like to see more comedy? Maybe more family interaction? More action in general? Cobalt?

Let's hear what you want out of a new series.

For one I'd like to see both Cobalt and Chi-tan brought back. I'd also like to see Atlas as a reoccurring character, similar to the way he was pictured in the 2003 anime. Here's an idea, how about Dr's Tenma and Ochanomizu appearing as equals in the same manor as Jester Mar's two creators.

I'm very openminded concerning a new Astro Boy series, as long as they do it in anime style again, preferably similar to the one they used for the 60's / 80's series, with maybe some "input" from the animation technic they used for the '03 series. Sure enough, the casting voices have to fit, which isn't an easy task, especially concerning Astro. It's hard to find a voice for him that isn't "too girlish" or "too adolescent". Flora Balzano and Patty Whitley did a superb job for the 80's Astro!

And please, please maintain Astro's charming naivity, which came over so captivating in the 1980's series!

I'd like episodes where the characters do go "walkies" all over Japan and run into adventures or situations along the way, give Astro a more human-like appearance.

Agreed. I'd more so like Cobalt to return, but it'd be cool to see both siblings return in some fashion. Heck, maybe they could stick in Jetter Mars for a special appearance in one episode.

I'd love to see Cobalt back as well. I also hope that Uran will be more like that of the 1980 version.

Like others, I would REALLY like to see Cobalt and Chi-Tan brought back to the story. And I don't think that means they have to also bring back his robotic parents (they had nothing to do with the addition with Astro's siblings, so they could be living with Dr. O as in the 2003 version.

I think it would be interesting to "reboot" Astro's technology (they have kind of done that with each new version . . . the 2009 movie definitely moving him out of nuclear power).

I'm not sure what "blue core" energy was, star stuff was what was mentioned. My latest vision would be "vacuum energy", like the stuff that powered 'Star Gate Atlantis".
