TCM ran a block of Mel Brooks' films the other night, including several parodies. I watched SILENT MOVIE last night, & HIGH ANXIETY the night before. That latter film was a parody of Hitchcock's films. I for 1, thought it was rather funny.

I loved how in silent movie, the only character with a line of spoken dialog was a mime!
Oh and the scene with the giant 'fly in my soup' was great! I remember an exterminator truck with a giant rubber cockroach on the roof as a kid, so that scene was really funny.

I agree, both of those were great; though I did predict that MM would speak that one word that the guy mentioned before showing the film. It was obvious.
