Saw Big Hero 6 yesterday and it is an A+ movie, highly recommended. Some of the many themes in this film are; loss, revenge, grief and evolution (of the character kind). It applies lots of science (that makes sense and is being seriously looked into for practical use) and is set in a world not too unbelievable.
It also has a multi-ethnic cast, handles the heavy Asian influence of the film respectfully and in ways that are not annoying and the female characters are not treated as only romantic options for the heroes of the story.
It also takes a comic book turn in the movie which I did not expect which was very much enjoyed.
I very much enjoyed Big Hero 6 and I am glad I watched it.

Big Hero 6 does look promising. I've seen nothing but good reviews for it. Good to hear that you enjoyed it as well, Earthshine. You generally can't go wrong with 3D-animated Disney movies.
I haven't seen a new movie in a while, but the movie I'm looking forward to the most is The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. The Lord of the Rings trilogy is one of my all-time favorite movie series, and I haven't been disappointed with the Hobbit movies thus far.
Interstellar looks interesting as well. The Christopher Nolan movies that I've seen have been great, so I assume Interstellar is no exception.
You posted this back in May, so you might have seen Godzilla already. Just in case though, I did see Godzilla about a month ago and enjoyed it. I'd recommend it.

Big Hero 6 was really wonderful and I think most in the Astro Boy/Tezuka fandom will enjoy it.
I have not yet seen Intersteller and I'm not sure if I'm going to see it in theaters, I'll probably wait until it comes out on DVD/Blu-Ray to see it or something. Though if someone really recommends it then I might check it out in theaters.
The next Hobbit movie is something that I am looking forward to very much and it will be a movie that I will see during it's premier in my city
We even have a group picked out that will be going with us. It's been years since I've been to a premier, the last one being The Watchmen back in 2009(?)
This year has been amazing with how many movies that has come out that I have fallen in love with. Maleficent has been my favorite thus far and am looking forward to picking up the Blu-ray soon.
Actually, I have yet to even see Godzilla, but I probably will soon...
