Oh wow, what a coincidence! I actually just won an auction on Yahoo Japan Auction for these things...they come in a cardboard tube designed to look like an actual blueprint storage tube. Check out Tenma's handwritten signature:

The end of the tube features a "ROM chip" that apparently has data that can be read when put into a computer, but I'd have to examine it myself when it arrives. I'm not sure if it's an SD card in a special casing, or if I'd need something far more advanced to read it. It says 'IC for Atom's Brain':

I got mine for $25 before proxy service fees, which is nice, considering how rarely this comes up for sale.

That IC may be a fake, IE: an empty package with the labeling on it. It's a nice touch though, with the right date code on the IC!

Well, not really, because it's one of the photos straight from the auction I won. The first full sentence of the description says, "The cap of the cylinder case comes with a "ROM" chip." There was another listing around the same time that also showed the ROM chip on the end of the blueprint tube.

I'm excited to see what's in the chip, if anything.

that chip looks like the type usually used to store a computers bios code, unless it comes with an adapter you will need a rom burner and the socket adapter to plug it into the computer and see if it is even real.

if not then it can be a neat conversation peace anyway.

btw, can you scan the blueprints????????? please!!!!

I'll see if there's any jumbo scanners on my university's campus! There might also be some ROM-compatible equipment in the Education Department as well, too. Would anyone know if posting the blueprint scans here would be a copyright violation, though?

In all honesty, when I first bid on this, I had no idea what I was in for. I was just interested because the blueprints have Tenma's signature and personal notes...
