So, his birthday is also Tobio's Deathday. Charming.

It matters not when the story itself began in the manga, but when he first appeared/was activated in it. Of course, unless we can talk to someone who was around at the time and has that specific knowledge, we won't really know exactly when that was. All we can do is make approximations based upon the time frame that the Dark Horse volume says the story ran within. It supposedly started in June; depending on how often it ran, and the length of each part (and these things were supposedly edited when fitted into volumes, too, weren't they?), it could mean he has a June birthday, or a July birthday; probably no later than that. (Although, August isn't entirely impossible. I just give him the same birthday as me most of the time, unless I'm contemplating an AU...)

Of course, that's using real-world times... We have no idea what the date was within the story canon itself.

As for Uran, I'm not sure she was a birthday present in the manga, so much as just a present in general. Cobalt reappeared alongside her, and was treated as new, even though Tezuka rewrote the ending of the Midoro Swamp arc to keep him alive. I'm still confused by this...

The reprints I have, are dated, at least on every new chapter. In the chapter in which Cobalt is 'born', it is dated July of 1954.

There is text under the final panel of INVISIBLE GIANT, & I will work on translating it eventually, though it may say nothing about dates. Uran was born late in July of 1960, as far as publishing dates go; for 1/2 Person began in August.

So, I guess it's not impossible that we could share a birthday, depending on how early in the month he showed up, hoo hoo hoo. :3
