They seem pretty accurate to me and when viewing them from the stage they must look better. The animation "trick" Osamu used based off of Mickey Mouse's ears (where they never overlap or are obscured by the other no matter what angle the character is viewed from) can't possibly work in real life afterall.

And the spikes have been moved in with the position of classic Astro Boy dolls to more accurately reflect his look. Anyone who comes to this show is going to love it. I guarantee it. And I'm not just saying so because I'm biased.
