This looks far more entertaining than I thought. I've always wanted to see Hamegg get kicked in the head by a seal.

Actually, he gets slapped a few times by the fin of the seal in very Looney Tunes-esque fashion.

I find Little Astro Boy to be a very entertaining series, despite the target audience for the show. The slapstick humor is pretty funny, the characters are all unique and interesting, and the animation is great. I really like the art style too. The only downside of the show, in my opinion, is some of the English voice acting; while some of the English voice actors are pretty good, some of them are downright awful.

It's kind of sad that the series never got much recognition, but at least the Japanese DVD of it is available now. For a while, none of us were really sure that Little Astro Boy was even going to shown outside of Nigeria at all.

EDIT: After listening to it some more, I think Astro is actually saying "pipo", which would sound like a robotic onomatopoeia. I'll indicate this when posting Episode 2.

He is really cute in this series. I am glad to see that Nigeria gets to see Astro, it seems the country as some very good animators, which is nice. I also know that Nigeria has it's own version of Hollywood, called Nollywood, like Bollywood in India.

Episode 2
Recycling Gone Wild


This episode's rap is quite a bit shorter than Episode 1's. The sequence with the characters dancing in front of the blue background cuts off in the middle of when Ken and Astro are doing their roundhouse kick.

This episode's rap goes as follows:

Astro:
"Everyone's friends here at Robo Town!"

Ken and Astro:
"Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!"

Astro:
"Grownups, children, Professor, and even me! Three in the afternoon, it's time for tea!"

Ken:
"There's that sofa, some cups, some sugar, and some milk!"
