This reminds me of the flying scene in "Superman" where Lois Lane is taken flying by 'Supie'.

Astro must have a sick sense of humor letting go of Mitchy and then zooming down to catch her.

He is a bit of a jerk in this series, but only because he likes to tease the others sometimes. To be fair, though, the other characters like to tease as well. For instance: Reggie allowing Pikko to get sucked into the air vent in Episode 3 and everybody's disdain of Tac's eating habits.

Also, Mitchy doesn't seem to mind at the last part of the episode, though I'm sure Astro would've gotten scolded by Mitchy a little after they were done flying.

I wouldn't call it a "sick sense of humor", but rather, just teasing his close friends.

Astro's father has Cobalt's cowlicks, and it seems Mom has a combo of Uran's and Chi-tan's.

I didn't even think about his dad having Cobalt's hairstyle, but now I can see it! Must be an unspoken homage to Cobalt. I can kind of see what you're saying about Astro's Mom's hairstyle too.
