Of course you can, that's what they are for. I appreciate when people tell me which one they chose, so I can type their nickname under the chosen avatar, but everybody is free to choose any of them and change as often as they want!

Edit: By the way, the one you chose is from the 1980 episode "Save the Classmate". I like it very much as well, I'm surprised nobody chose it earlier.
