What do you mean by 'most efficient'? Like, for instance, when a particular neurotransmitter signal finds its way by moving from the melon stone to the upper left on through the pink fruit flesh towards the shell on which the signal gets reflected in billard-style back to the fruit's root? Makes that the information turning out to be more accurate when the data's being transferred through a melon head?

My preference for melon fruits has become a bit weakened down since I spotted your alternation. I just can't get very fond for the idea of eating Astro's melotronic brain.
