In 1986-87, Tezuka made a spinoff series of Astroboy called Atomcat. I think it was about some aliens making a feline sidekick to help Astro.

Kind of cute! :lol: There were seven stories and it was released into a single volume. It was never translated, but the Japanese version is still available. Unfortunately I can't read enough Japanese to be able to navigate a shopping download site.
(I'll have a shot at translating if someone can get it though)
