I enjoyed Galaxy Angel anime, but Normad* is absent in the manga.

Normad is an ICBM guidance computer who compares to Bem, in that both were intelligent computers that were parts of bombs, both wanted to live, rather than fulfill their missions. Bem was featured in "The Last Day on Earth" volume 11 of the manga. For those who have set #2 of the 1960s English version, look for episode 62 "Attack From Space."

I assume 'Normad' is named after 'Nomad' from the original Star Trek. Anyway, so the Galaxy Angels take Nomad out of the missile, & put him into a plush toy.

Normad is awesome I gotta say, Galaxy Angel is the funniest anime out there. I got the whole series on dvd and cracks me up everytime I watch it. For those who haven't seen it yet, check it out!

another thing I love about Galaxy Angel is that it was dubbed in Canada (Vancouver, BC.) with mostly canadian voice actors http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galaxy_Angel
