OH PS3 (: NEED ADVICE

Postby 1magus » 19 years ago

I had always planned to try and obtain a PS3 on Launch and probably sell it on EBAY, than when the heat died down I could just buy another one with the 2 grand I would probably of made. Now we are getting 400000 in America, which is maybe 5 per store which is a joke. I have half the money saved up for a premium PS3 and my brother was suppose to pay the other half. Now I doubt we can even buy one until January of 2007!
What do you guys think I should do just spend my money on whatever than try and find a job to pay my self back or what?!!!
Any advice would help please cause I'm freaking out

Sorry, I wish I could help, but I just don't think I know enough about your situation to make a suggestion.

Dude don't freak out over a new game system...My best suggestion is to keep saving. Don't waste your goal money on something you'd like to have higher than what your goal would be. Asking for a job afterwards will just take longer time.
The game system's too much to cry over once it comes out; think of it, $500 worth. I'd wait if I were you. But if you insist, then go ahead. No one's forcing or stopping you.

There wont be a price drop for some time perhaps up to 2 years! I wont wait but I wont get one at launch, still don't know exactly what to do.
EDIT: BTW this almost makes me want to get a 360 and try and copy:

but then I remeber that I can just buy a Lap Top that does more lol still a nice little idea.

The PS3 launch in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Russia has been delayed until March. I don't know if there'll be any demand for NTSC systems in PAL countries, but it's a possibility.

If you are still a student, I would strongly advise a laptop, as it would allow you to play AND work wherever you go ;) However, I'm afraid you won't find cheap laptops which can play the latest games...
Now if you hope doing money by buying a PS3 on launch and resell it on eBay, be cautious. It may work, but prices might as well drop quickly and you would be unabled to resell it above the buying price.

I'm sick of hearing about that Wii60 thing dude. If you don't want to spend 600+ bucks than why spend it on 2 systems????? Just stick with one, and yes they look great I know 3 right off the bat that I want to buy:
Coded Arms
Untold Legends dark Kingdom
Resistance Fall of Man and the list goes on!

The PS3 will still be ok, meaning no price drops and launch it never works that way. If it does end up that way it won't at launch which is why you need to get one and sell it ASAP!
