Believe it or not, I can write or speak using formal grammar, but cannot follow a discussion that uses such terms. I could not diagram a sentence if my life depended on it.

But I do not think you got the lyrics correct (I know somewhere the lyrics are transcribed). I think it goes, ...Rocket high, through the sky, for adventures soon you will face. & I cannot find any problem with that.

Regarding Amazing Grace, I believe it was written by a slave trader some centuries ago. He became a Christian and wrote the song to express how amazing it was that he'd been forgiven for all the bad things he'd done.
