That picture is from the pre color enhanced sabotaged video.... I restored the color. It needed it badly. That snake should be red.... Watch the new vid mix....

This is the broadcast quality of Dragon Lake. Notice Astro's boots? They're supposed to be red. All the red has benn removed from this. And the color level reduced in order to blunt the impact in juxtaposition to every other anime on CN.

Great episode! Now that episode had the spirit of the 60's show, with a lot of Astro action, and none of the wimpy stuff in previous episodes.  All in all one of the best so far.

To lie about something, one must by the definition of lie knowingly make an untrue statement. However, Cybotron says that anybody who thinks (ie, believes) that this is red is... lying! :angry: The one who believes something cannot lie about it by affirming what he believes.

Cybotron, YOU are the one who understand nothing. Everybody here is saying what you say not to be red is red. And you keep saying that OUR monitors are not correctly adjusted whereas YOUR monitor seem to be the only one correctly adjusted.
And now I put you a proof, the RGB values of the colors, not using anything depending on monitor, you persist to say that is because MY monitor is not correctly adjusted? I can't believe it :wacko:
I will explain it clearly as it seems you can't understand...
The first picture shows the RGB value of the color you claim not to be red:
red : 163
green: 71
blue : 58
The second one gives the RGB value of the color you claim to be red:
red : 148
green: 59
blue : 89
If you don't believe me, use photoshop to check the values. Anyone here can do that with most graphical softwares.
The color you claim to be red has a red component inferior to the one you claim not to be red. Moreoever it is the exact opposite for one of the other components (blue).
Therefore the color you claim to be red is obviously, not depending on the monitor, depending on exact mathematical values, LESS red than the one you claim not to be red.
Everyone here can check this. You can't make something true just by asserting many times it is true and criticizing the monitors of people saying otherwise.
The first one is argumentum ad nauseam. I don't find the exact definition of the second one and I have no time for this, but someone can have a search here

The human eyes actually detect only three hues, red, green, & blue. The cones respond to bands of hues centered upon red or green or blue. The brain discerns between purple and magenta by the amounts that each type of rod or cone responds to the input. If this were not the case, the RGB scheme used by modern electronic displays might be unable to displayall hues recognizable by humans (but the psyc text was rather speculative than definitive here). Regardless, the RGB scheme does use only 3 hues in various combinations to simulate a much larger range of hues. Thus, hues that do not appear red, often contain high values (in terms of % of saturation) of the red component, even higher than others that do appear red. Even though, as you say, the

Notice that while the red & green components are lower in the second set, than in the first, But the blue is higher.

On my monitor, the red saturation in the marching band is just about as highas possible, without being noticably too high. I would say to let the downloaded raw or fansubbed videos be the judge of what ought to be.

I don't criticize this. If you think it is better this way, you are the judge. Some people watching it will think it is better, other will think it is not.
What I was drawing your attention on was that you present 2 colors, one being red, the other not, according to you. What I showed you was these 2 colors are at best almost the same, at worse the opposite of what you said.

Not if those downloads are based on sabotaged video. The fansubs are great as far as color goes, but there are only 6 of them... But the broadcast based stuff is wrong. And it all needs correction and restoration of Red levels and color levels and sound. :angry:
