Astro boy theme

Has anyone noticed that the theme songs from the sixties and eightes have the same rithym but different lyrics?..

The basic music is the same, but the 80's series has a slightly different arrangement, as well as different lyrics.

The 2003/2004 series is totally diffferent. The Japanese opening theme is sung, but the English theme is instrumental techno music.

Many versions are existing from that opening theme. So far I heard 2 different french openings, 2 different english openings and the original japanese theme from the 80's; but all have got the same melody.

You left out this Swiss German theme... It's great and has different melody.

Last time I heard it, it stuck in my head for all the afternoon! A real pain! It is even worse than the 2000s English techno opening sequence compared to the Japanese one <_<

LOL, first time I heard both, I thought they sounded alike too. I prefer the 80s theme, even if it IS hard as hell to make out the lyrics if you don't already know them.
