This thing reminds me of some arguments about education in the USA. Some believe that the 3 Rs have become less important to the education establishment than political indoctrination. Kids know nothing other than what parents & teachers tell them, & they are for the most part, inclined to accept those things without any trace of scrutiny. Anothor generation reaches adulthood without any trace of independent thought. Liberals beget Liberals, & Conservatives try to produce Conservatives, but the education establishment does its best to make Liberals out of all children. I try to be independent thinker, but it ain't so easy.
I saw a website that had Axis propaganda on it, nasty stuff. But my fascination was the German armored fighting vehicles. I saw some really weird ones somewhere on the web. The Tiger I was always my favorite, though. I was photgraphed standing next to the one that was at the US Army Ordinance Museum, but it has since become the
Tiger without a home. angry: (My brother has a book by that title)
On the other hand, have you seen the Compete uncensored Private Snafu? I checked amazon recently, & that title has increased in value. I also have Dr. Suess goes to War, but only took the time to glance through it. As a histiry fan, I get a kick from those old war-themed cartoons, but wonder how many people these days would get the references to Meatless Thursdays, 4 new whitewall tires, & such. I have an hour-long Toonheads that focused upon these cartoons. :
Mein Gott in Himmel (learned that from Wolfenstein cheat book)! Iss nearly 12:00 und time fur der G-man show!
