A word of warning! If you get a lot of pop-ups at once. Read each one. I just had to reformat my computer to get rid of a spyware that wouldn't allow me to change back to my home page. It would default back to that page.

I have a thing called spyware blaster & another called Ad-aware, yet, I myself had the same problem. The thing kept telling me to buy its version of spyware removing software.  I believe with this there is a way to lock the settings on IExplorer, so that nothing can change your homepage. Anyway, creating a desktop shortcut can fix the problem. Just doubleclick the shortcut (note that whatever IE window is currently active will change) & presto-chango, whatever address was on that shortcut, will be displayed by your browser!

One of those adware programs named "Adware Away" fixed that problem up nicely for me.

Maybe time not to use Internet Explorer anymore ;) There are plenty other free browsers that don't let anyone execute whatever they want on your computer :D And that have a built-in popup killer by the way ;)
