Will Astro Boy be aired in the USA again?

Since it seems that CN/WB has apparently canceled Astro Boy in the USA :angry: , will any other cable/TV network pick it up and run the show in it's entirety?

It's possible, but right after Astro was first shown on wb back in January, I checked the first raiting reports, and they were bad, only about 2.0 or something like that as compared to the Teen Titans 5. something ratings. That spelled doom for our little hero, remember the dreaded Valenteens week on wb in Feb., well that was the first time Astro was off for a while. Fortunately he came back on t'll this summer, but only showing 20 of the 50 eps. made.

They may be waiting to see how well the upcoming movie does, then maybe we'll see him again and maybe the Japanese will make more episodes. I have all 50 of the current series on dvd in the original Japanese, but I want more, after all the original 60's series had almost 200 episodes, running from Jan. 63 to Dec. 66 in Japan and similarly in the U.S. The 80's had 52 episodes and evan though it was translated in the U.S. it wasn't popular here. I sure hope we don't have to wait another 20 years 'till the next Astro series.

I was so lucky being here in asia because the astroboy episodes are aired every sunday on both a local channel and on animax. I think its the 4th time they replayed it. I hope they should just get and air the 80's episode at least because i think that series is really cool.

For anyone in the US who wants to see the dubbed Astro Boy episodes, since cybertron refuses to put the dubbed ones on his site for those of us who are dyslexic, and don't have easy access to the FTP sites, do what I did. Get the DVDs from Australia! I would highly suggest though that you get a Multi-Region DVD player first. For anyone interested, I can give you the site where I got mine.
