Hello! I was think of making my own topic about having some sort of contest on making your own character or robot. Here's a list a things you need to make your new character:

Here's my character:

I thought of a new character named Zircon.
She has the ability to transform into many different things.
She also has the original powers as Astro, but she has less horsepower than him.
85,000 horsepower!!!
She looks like Astro also, it's just the head that's different.
Black hair,a pair of long antennas on the back of her head, a jewel called, 'The Jewel of Adrenalin' on her forehead.
I've created this character because she could be an excellent teamate or sidekick for Astro.

I've read the topic called,'Astro Flash:2005' I believe.It was about making new episodes back in the 80's. If the creators of Astro Boy do bring Astro Boy back on the air, well, new characters would be in the show, right?

Describe what he/she looks like: Crono is slightly smaller than the 2K Version of Astro boy, he has light red hair, wheres strange clothes in the story Im writing about him, he has spikes on his hair like Astro but 3 instead of 2, he is also half human and half robot story is posted below still working on it.
Why did you create this character: Because, I like Astro boy and the more I though of Crono the more I thought h e would be an interesting character for an Astro Boy Story. TO make up for his very low power compared to most robots in the future he has a couple hidden powers I have not written here yet.

It was a typical day in Metro City; Astro was hanging at the police station waiting for any bad news to show up so he can solve it. Meanwhile at the other end of town in a gutter there was a boy lying there. (He had light red hair; he was the height/ weight of a 5-year-old boy, he was wearing messed up shoes a hat with a weird symbol on it and clothes that you would fine on any kid in the future). (His name is Crono.)
Crono’s Thoughts: What is going on? What am I doing here? I can’t remember anything!
Crono walked out of the gutter (It was dark and starting to rain) he started to walk faster he did not see anyone outside because, there is a curfew in the city that he is in. (It is about 11:00 PM)
Crono looked around, everywhere he saw things he did not recognize then he turned a corner and saw the huge city lights everywhere but no one around.
Crono walked up to a electric bridge that was up he saw it said press to open, he clicked the button and then heard sirens and cars flying towards him. Before any of the police got to him Crono heard a voice calling out to him.
Voice: Hey kid come with me you don’t want to be arrested do you?
Crono decided to go with him he did not know what was going to happen either way. The strange man grabbed him and took him through secret underground tunnels.
Police: Where did he go, must be pranks keep searching. Then the police drove away.
Voice: Well kid that was close, I’m here to help you I saw you lying n the gutter and by the look of your old clothes I knew you needed help.
Crono: Well yeah I suppose I do what’s your name?
Voice: Just call me Professor kid don’t worry I’ll take care of everything.
Crono: Well ok. Then Crono noticed something on his arm, it was a gray box with a small plasma screen on it, it held another glass box on it with what looked like 2 cylinders that were almost empty.
Crono: Uh, what is this on my arm??!?!?!!
Professor: I said don’t worry I’m here to help.
Crono: You know I don’t think I should be hanging around with you bye thanks for the help.
Professor: What did you say kid? You are coming with me and that is final!!!!
Crono: No I’m not! Crono said, and started to run then he tripped and something happened to his shoes and suddenly he was rocketing out of the tunnels and past the bridge, a lot of people saw him through there windows wondering was it Astro but they could not tell it was now raining very heavily and Crono hit the ground way far away from the bridge. Most of Crono’s body was ok except for the side of his arm it was damaged and part of his mechanical parts were showing. The hit to the floor knocked Crono out. A couple of the people that saw Crono fly bye walked out of there buildings (Apartments) to walk over to where Crono fell.
Group of People: What’s going on? What was that?!?!
Then the police showed up where they saw a small explosion where Crono fell.
Police: What is this? You people know there is a curfew!
People: Well we saw a boy FLY bye then crash we though Astro might be in trouble, oh my!?
One of the people said seeing the wreck of Crono and being suprised that it was not Astro.
Police: OMG who is this? He looks like a wreck, well we better get it to Dr. O’Shay he’s the robot expert in this city, ok move a long people you know the curfew. The police said while carrying Crono into their car and they drove away. They arrived at Astro/ Dr. O’Shay’s house and dropped him off with the only information they knew.
Astro: Dr what is it?
Dr. O’Shay Astro go back to bed it’s late I will take care of this, Yuko come with me I will need help repairing him.
Astro: Ok goodnight.
Dr. O’Shay worked a couple hours on Crono and once he used the colored x-ray on him he found out what Crono really was!
Dr. O’Shay: Incredible! This boy is half robot and half human I don’t know how to go from here, I suppose we will just run the super computer on him for the rest of the night and we can go to bed, we need to do some tests on him.
Yuko: Hurry to bed it will be morning soon and you have a schedule to keep.
Dr. O’Shay and Yuko both went to sleep leaving the computers on Crono to run tests and scan and analyze him.
4:00 AM: The tests have been done for 2 hours and the computers already shut down, and Crono started to wake up.
Crono’s Thoughts: What, what happened/ I remember crashing after I flew I still don’t know how I did.
Crono was starting to remember more of before he woke up in a gutter. Then he got up and started to walk around the place. (Dr. O’Shay and Astro’s house) Then he stumbled on Astro’s room. He walked over and looked out of Astro’s window, then he saw that a kid in a bed was starting to wake up of-corse it was Astro.
Astro: What’s going on, your the kid Dr. O’Shay brought home yesterday.
Crono: Where am I? And who are you?
Astro: My name is Astro, this is Metro city.
Crono: Well what am I doing here? I remember crashing into something but somehow I flew.
Just then Dr.O’Shay walked in.
Dr.O’Shay: What are you doing up Astr, oh your awake Crono, Astro this is Crono I guess I have a lot to explain both of you come with em into the computer lab.
They all walked there and Dr.O’Shay explained all about Crono and most of it was new to Crono even, after hearing all of it they were both a little freaked out.
Crono: I’m ... I’m a robot and a human, how did this happen?
Astro: Dr.O’Shay do you know? This is a little weird.
Dr.O’Shay: No, I don’t have any leads yet Crono your life will change I’m sorry you will have to learn to live like this there is a lot of things I need to teach you, for no though go to bed Ive set up a room next to Astro’s we will discuss this in the morning.. Oh and here this was found next to you.
Dr. Handed Crono a backpack (I will show what’s in it later in the story) They all went to bed except Crono he could not sleep, he was very freaked out.
5:00 PM: Crono got up and walked into Astro’s room he woke Astro up to talk to him.
Crono: Astro I can’t sleep this is weird, I’m remembering all of these things from my past its hard to see them when I’m a freak.
Astro: Your not a freak Crono, you can help us all robots and humans. Some people think that there should be no robots that can think for themselves maybe you can make them think something different, a robot and a human.
Crono: But, I used to be a human I don’t know if I like this.
Astro: Well we will help you like it me too don’t worry.
Crono: Well... ok but I can’t sleep.
Astro: Well go get your pillow and blankets you can sleep in my room tonight.
Crono: Ok!
Crono got what he needed and went to sleep with Astro.
Morning: Astro got dressed and Crono stayed how he was the night before.
Nora: Lets go Astro time for school hurry, hurry hurry hurry.
Astro: Ok bye Crono.
Then Nora shoved Astro outside quickly like she always does.
Crono: School, what’s that?
Dr.O’Shay: Don’t worry about that now Crono, you have a lot to learn about yourself today. Come with me Crono.
Crono: Well ok.
Crono folled Dr.O’Shay into a private room.
Dr.O’Shay: Now Crono there is some thigs you need to know about yourself.
1. That small box on your arm is very important, you recharge yourself that way or atleast your powers.
Crono: My powers?
Dr.O’Shay: Yes you have tremendous powers, one of them as you have seen last night is the power of flight, another is the power of invisibility, one of them well you can think incredible fast maybe even faster than Astro however you need to be taught to think first don’t worry you will know what I mean in a couple of days, your last power will take you along time to understand and use it allows you to control objects in front of you and well basically place them where you wan’t. Now Crono these powers require a lot of energy to use, tgar box on your arm shows how much you have left, when the 2 cylinders inside are empty then you will need to refill it, you will also need to refill them atleast 3 times a day which brings me to another point of you.
2. As you know now you are half human and half robot. Now your body not only needs energy it needs nourishment.
Crono: Nourishment? What do you mean?
3. Well you remember how to eat right?
Crono: Yeah, heh.
3. Well I designed these energy balls (Large Blue plastic balls) they provide food and extra energy that you need and they taste good, here try one.
Crono ate it, and looked confused.
Dr.O’Shay” Well what do you think?
Crono: I don’t know, I think it tastes good.
Dr.O’Shay: Well you will get used to it, now one more thing.
4. Let’s try to change your power cells, as I said before you will need to do this 3 times a day here you go.
Dr.O’Shay handed Crono 2 power cells (Small green cylinders)
Crono replaced them by opening his clear box on his arm and taking one out carefully and replacing each.
Crono: Hey this feels good, now what?
Dr.O’Shay: Now I’m late about a important meeting, Nora take Crono to his lessons. Good bye Crono be good.
Crono: OK... bye!
Nora: Now come with me you have a lot to learn.
Nora taught Crono all he needed to know to start out his new life.
3:00 PM: Astro returned home with uran (Astro’s Sister off course)
Uran: Astro where is this new robot, I wan’t to meet him I wanna I wanna I wanna!!!!!
Astro: Calm down Uran he’s upstairs...
Uran interrupted Astro by running upstairs and rushing to Astro’s room. She didn’t see anyone there and someone tapped her on the shoulder, standing in a room next to Astro’s was Crono and he looked very exahusted.
Crono: Hi what’s your name, “yawn”?
Uran: Are you Crono, I’m Uran, Astro told me all about you and how you have powers and you can fly too and..!!!!
Crono: Slow down, yes I’m Crono and I think I’m going to bed.
Dr.O’Shay: Ahh, Crono and Uran I guess you 2 of met, uh Uran Crono has had a very tiring day why don’t you leave him alone for now and I will introduce you both more later.
Uran: Oh, but its not even night yet, fine.
Dr.O’Shay: Well Crono did you learn a lot today, about rules?
Crono: Rules, yeah I think I remembered a lot that I...
Then Crono started to fall and Dr.O’Shay cought him in his arms.
Dr.O’Shay: Well I will put him to bed he had a very hard day.
Then Astro showed up.
Astro: Is he ok Dr.?
Dr.O’Shay: Off course Astro, he has a very tiring day will see how he feels in the morning.
Astro: Dr., what about school for Crono is he going?
Dr.O’Shay: We will see, the banning of robots to school has been lifted so probably.
Yuko: Dr! There are reporters at the door they wan’t to know about Crono.
Resporters: Who is this Crono/ How did he come here let’s talk to him c’mon we want facts?!?!?
Dr.O’Shay: First off, no you can’t talk to him he is asleep, second off you have all the information you need for now so leave!
In Crono’s room something shined on Crono’s head it was a symbol; that looked like the symbol that shows on Yugi’s head from Yu-Gi-Oh!
Astro: Dr. When is Crono going to school and which classroom?
Dr.O’Shay: Your classroom and I don’t know maybe tomorrow if I get the message soon...
Dr.O’Shay was interrupted by the message from school saying Crono could go tomorrow.
Dr.O’Shay: There you go Astro.
Astro: Dr. Don’t you think Crono should be n a younger class, he looks a lot like Denkou’s age.
Dr.O’Shay: No, I know he does not look like your age but he thinks incredible fast trust me this is the right thing to do, now let’s all get on with the day and tomorro you will take him to school.
Astro: Well Ok.

Name: Ai (But, unlike the standard girl's name, the kanji is not the kanji for "love," but the particles for aizome, a valuable Japanese plant used for dyes grown around Tokushima pref., which is where I lived. Why? You'll know soon enough.)
Special abilities:
Undefeatable chess genius, and, discounting the fact that she's rather sweet, nothing else. Ai was built by an armchair engineer who wanted to be able to put a face to his computer chess program. Strength: Unknown.
Description: A bulky design, with a miniature external hydrogen-deuterium conversion fuel cell attached to her back. Large deep blue eyes. Extremely sharp steel claw for left hand. Vaguely humanoid appearance, but recognisable as a robot. Very awkwardly designed because of her lack of experience and rudimentary AI system; even walking is a challenge for her. She has a very basic self-teaching program, so whenever she does something correctly, she's happy, and when she does something incorrectly her shock-collar goes off. (Owch!

You might enjoy this piece of trivia, if you don't know it already.

In 1988 the chess computer Deep Thought was built, named after the supercomputer from The Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy. After a number of upgrades, it was renamed to Deep Blue because it was built by IBM. IBM's corporate nickname is Big Blue.
Following this, a supercomputer was built by the EFF designed to crack DES encryption. It's name? Deep Crack.

What I thought was rather funny is that I just found out about this topic today, and I happened to make a character for a comic of mine named Zirconium Copper.
Anyways, I'll see if this character I came up with this morning will possibly work for an Astro Boy character.

Name: Otto (Named for my grandpa)
Special Ability(s): Very high powered electronic brain, very good sight, very fast runner, and he has a great sense of touch (Which is needed for his disguise.)
Strength number: Unknown
Description of what he looks like: He has black hair, and is about three feet tall. He leads a very strange lifestyle, disguised as a blind child. He wears dark, round sunglasses to hide his beautiful Hazel eyes.
The story: A lonley survivor of a bombing on her house, a teenager called Ronnie decided that she had no choice but to build a robot to help her mental condition. The government does not support his exsistance as a robot, so he lives with his "Sister" in a nice house close to the city. He goes to elementary school, and nobody but Astro knows who he really is.
Why did I decide to make this character?: Well, he wasn't always a robot, but a child who was afraid to show himself in public as the person he really was for fear of leaving his sister, which is actually all the same except that he is a robot here. He is a human in my story Zirconium Copper, about a girl and her friends trying to lead a good life in Michigan's UP.
I will post a picture as soon as I hook this laptop up to a scanner.
