Sorry, I meant to say that they show it on their sites. I did have to preorder it. I want to see all the episodes. I only saw up to episode 20, but they never showed the "Robot Hunters" and "Franken" episodes.

I think the 'no Japanese' option almost guarentees that it is edited. The only reason why they wouldn't include the Japanese (being Japanese animation) is if the original language no longer matched up with the film...because it is edited.

I'll be waiting on this one to hear how picture quality is.

Jim, Madman IS releasing the 60's series. Its listed as a coming soon title on their site. They did an almost perfect job with the 80's series collection so I am being cautiously optimistic about the release of the 60's episodes.

Hot on the heels of the Original 1980's Astro Boy series, Madman are proud to announce that the Original 1960's Astro Boy Series will be receiving the same Deluxe Collection treatment this year!
You may have been lucky enough to see a sneak peek of episode #1 of this great series on the Extras DVD of the 1980s Collection. Stay tuned to http://www.astroboy.com.au for more news![/b]

something else mentioned that I am VERY pleased about is this little snippit:

Kimba
Continuing with the incredible works of Osamu Tezuka, the next series to gain an Australian DVD release this year is "Kimba The White Lion". This much-loved series is the story of a young lion who follows in the footsteps of his late father, the great lion king.
Keep an eye out for more details on this release, as they become available!
