You would like the Dark Horse manga - No tampering there. :)

Yes, Your're right ViciousMan, the Dark Horse Astro mangas are great. I have all 23 vols.

Also, Thank you Fafner for echoing my point. I was going to say something, but you beat me to it. It looks like I opened a can of worms, so I will no longer post political views here. I'll keep it kid friendly and about Astro, his friends and Tezuka's message. The last thing I want is a repeat of the vietnam thread. ;)

Sorry to get into that but if we start using this forum to go America bashing then expect a return shot. Iraq, right or wrong, will not be judged now but decades from now after years of accumed history have piled up.

And my English skills are less than most, my use of "to" and "too" start heads shaking.

Atom did come up during a wild time, the dawning of the atomic age, the early stages of the superpower arms race, wild rated B American movies that related every monster and maniac to the bomb and of course our favorite friendly Lizard of chaos...

Godzilla.

I like Astro because he's carefull with his gifts, super kind and super heroic. He puts his ambassadorship between robots and humans right where it should be, with the young. Get them before the cynical and bigoted age of teen to adult contaminates their minds. All the while he has to keep robots from abusing their A.I. gifts, stop mad men from making robots without a soul of reason and prove to doubtful adults that robots can be trusted...

You would think after a day or two he'd pop off his own head and "spike it" out of frustration but he always keeps his coolness. B)

And others people here made French bashing and got shot too... but you're right, we are flaming each others on facts that will only be understood fairly enough in decades, so let's leave that to future historians.

Exactly. This is an Astroboy fans forum, so let's speak about our little hero and leave our real life problems at the door :P
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.
