Thank you for backing me up Dr.Frag. Yes that is Astro as Princess Knight. I got it from some fan art site that had a colum of Astro pics. and it was one of them. It had another colum for Uran only. But anyone who has eyes can see that's Astro, evan in drag.

The English dubbed version made Denkyuu female, but I believe that the original was male. Either way the robot was male or female in personality only. Of the robots, only Pinoko is known to have the goods. Thus among Tezuka's robots, the gender specfic words such as she can be literally applied to her.

I suppose one could argue that because she is organic, she is not a robot, but one ought to read RUR first.

Also in vol. 22 of the Astro manga, in the story called Astro 2, Astro had the stuff, and boy was he a playboy. Also in the new series, Astro falls madly in love with Sapphire, and does more than blush. I'd say he has something to make him do that. Dr. Ochanomizu himself said to Yuko that Astro was designed to experience the same things humans do. Hmm.

Not argueing with you, mind you, just some robots I remember with the stuff.

I do not know whether He had anything other than heart palpitations. In that manga, he was upgraded to have the equipment. However, I would guess that in all other versions, he lacked it. When I say "Of the robots, only Pinoko is known to have the goods," I do not exclude the possibility that others hay also have "the goods," I merely state that Pinoko's artificial parts were skeleton, skin, and perhaps hair. She, being a creature, needs certain components to balance her other functions. After she eats and drinks, she will eventually need to, you know. Whether she actually has any female reproductive parts, we cannot tell from that picture. This is becoming too mature a subject to continue in this forum. I refuse to continue. This is a family-friendly forum.

Okay, that's good. I will bring that back by saying that I saw a picture of Ken-Ichi and Tima! Yay! I'm glad that someone actually did fan art. Besides BTTF, Metropolis is one of my favorite films. Actually, I named my Lucky Cat that I bought in Chicago Ken-Ichi. Funny enough, I tried drawing something the other day. I got distracted by bright red suitcases and train tickets. I'll try again. On topic, I don't even bother to watch the English series because I can't stand to see scenes cut. That's like cutting the Twin Pines Mall scene from Back to the Future! (I really mean only short segments, like...) I watched "Robot Ball" with my cousin and at times he would look like he's thinking "Something else was supposed to go there? I really had no idea. Sorry if I make no sense at all. Bye.
