Since the SNES game is here, may as well mention the NES game. I have the ROM myself, in japanese. Does anyone know if there's a translation patch for it or for the SNES game?

I played a little bit of the first level. At the beginning you can only jump and punch, maybe there are powerups later that let you fly and stuff. The coolest part of the NES game is you get to listen to a midi version of the classic Astroboy theme!
Astroboy: The NES Game
Maybe this topic would help?

Yea, language is the real barrier in Level 4. Characters in that level ask a lot of questions.
To my knowledge, there are no patches for this game...

Hi Breakman,
I noticed on your signiture you have 3 pics of Mega Man, but it says I'm a X fan. Is X Man his name in Japanese or is it something else? I am disapointed in the English dvds of Mega Man, because the main kid characters, who are cute as hell, have gruff American teenage voices, same as the American dub of Astro. I'd love to own the Japanese version with subs but I don't know his name in Japanese. So I can't order it from Japan yet.
Please help me.
Thanks.

Megaman and X are from two different game "universes". They are two different characters. There are two other versions of Megaman and they belong in the the EXE and the Legends (Dash) universes. ^_^
So all the versions of Megaman are:
Original: Mega Man
X: Mega Man X
Legends: Mega Man Trigger (or Casket)
EXE: Mega Man EXE (or Hub)
I hope that made sense. ^^;;
The only other Megaman anime other than the American/Canadian cartoon show is this one:
http://www.bargainanime.com/dvd5063.html (I don't know how reliable the seller is. I just wanted to show you the box art and description.)

It is assumed that this anime was suppose to be the "demo" of the American/Canadian version. They ditched the style in this DVD for the buffed up Megaman style.
I didn't really think the American/Canadian version was all THAT bad. It had some redeeming factors... The Japanese dub (if there's such a version) of the American/Canadian cartoon is the same so don't go looking for it in Japanese. ^^;
The Japanese name for Megaman is Rockman. He also goes by the name of "Rock".
Ah... I think I answered all your questions. ^^; Any more, you can shoot them over my way. B) But this is not the topic for that (we are off topic in this one). You can start or find a topic about Megaman in the General Discussion section.

To answer your question, Tic_Tac, the picture you posted is of Megaman/Rockman EXE. He is the newest version of Megaman/Rockman.
Try not to get too confused, all four versions of Megaman/Rockman are different with somewhat different personalities. ^_^
Here's another picture comparison. Add it to the other one I posted.

The only two versions of Megaman who have an anime series are the Original and the EXE versions. The Original Megaman has the American/Canada and the DVD I posted in my previous post. The EXE only has the anime that is showing on Kids WB.
The X version has anime cut scenes in some games but does not have a cartoon series.
Did that clear up some confusion? ^^;;
