Chapter 10: The Bet
I'm starting to give these chapters names now.
I'll edit the others.

Chapter Ten

On their way to the practice court, Zircon noticed something swift passed her while flying, and it landed on top of the Eagle-shaped building. She looked closely at the figure, and noticed a person with black, almost spiky hair on its head, and its chin. Zircon gasped. “Zircon, are you all right?” Astro asked her. Zircon turned her head towards Astro. “I think I saw something on top of that Eagle-shaped building,” she answered. Astro and Zircon looked at the top of the building. Zircon couldn’t believe it, but the black-shaped figure disappeared! “I don’t see anything there,” Astro said, as he turned his head towards Zircon. “You must be hallucinating.” “Maybe,” Zircon said. *I thought I saw something there,* she thought. *Maybe I am hallucinating.* It was almost 3 o’ clock when Astro and Zircon got to the practice court. Astro’s friends and the other team were already there. “Astro! Zircon! Glad you guys can make it!” Alejo said, yelling from across the court. “Hey!” The captain said from the other team stepped out from the other side of the court. “What’s she doing here?” “Zircon is here to play Rocket Ball,” Kennedy said. The other player wasn’t very surprised. “Girls can’t play,” “What do you mean, Zircon can’t play?” Alejo asked. “It’s likely to know that girls never play manly sports like this!” he said while pointing at Zircon. Zircon’s feelings were hurt pretty badly.

“Hey!” Astro said, walking up to the team captain while standing in front of Zircon. “It doesn’t have to be just boys playing this sport! Girls can play too! Rocket Ball is not girl-free zone sport; it’s a team play sport!” Astro’s friends cheered, and Zircon smiled. The other team’s captain rubbed his nose and said, “Humph. So, you think that girls can play this sport? You must be kidding!” “I never kid,” Astro said. “I’ll bet you’re just scared that our team can get your team, beaten by a girl!” Both teams gasped except for the other team’s captain and Astro. “I’m not afraid,” he said. “And from what you said is great, for a bet.” Both teams gasped again. “Fine!” Astro said. “If our team beats your team, you promise us that Rocket Ball is not a manly sport! Again, both teams gasped. “Okay,” The team captain said, rubbing his chin. “Not bad for a bet. But, if my team beats your team, girls will never play Rocket Ball again!” Astro started thinking about the team captain’s bet. Kennedy buts in and says, “Can I have a word with Astro?” Astro follows Kennedy to an open space of the court. “Astro, are you nuts? This is crazy! You can forget about the bet!” “I can’t chicken out now,” Astro said. “If I do, the other team’s captain is going to win by default, and he’s going to not make girls like Zircon play Rocket Ball again.” “Astro, you expect to believe a guy like him would do that to every girl who plays Rocket Ball?” Kennedy asked. “Besides, why are you doing this?” Astro turned his head towards Kennedy. “So Zircon can keep playing Rocket Ball,” he said. Kennedy mouth flew open a little when he gasped. “Listen, I believe Zircon really seems to like this sport, and she just started playing. I really don’t want her to stop playing Rocket Ball now.” “Gosh, Astro,” Kennedy said. “I never meant it that way. Alright, close the bet, if you want to, Astro, if you really want to do it for Zircon.” “Thanks a lot, Kennedy,” Astro said smiling.

Astro walked towards the other team’s captain and replied, “Okay, the bet is on, but I’m only doing this for Zircon.” Zircon was surprised from what Astro said, and then smiled. “Alright,” The team captain said. “But, to make it official, let’s shake hands on it.” The team captain stuck his hand in front of Astro. “Alright,” Astro said. “Let’s have a fair game, and let the best boy, robot, or girl, win.” Astro then shook hands with the team captain, and both partly smiled. *Excellent,* he said muttering. *And once we win, Zircon will be running home, crying like a baby.* When the team captain said that, he said it, with his fingers crossed behind his back!

It took me about 2-3 hours for this one (mostly on thinking... ).

Chapter 11: Zircon gets in the game with Rocket Ball!


Kennedy sighed and said, “Glad we got that out of the way,” “Yeah,” Astro said. “Let’s just hope we win the bet.” While Astro was putting on his skates, Zircon walked towards him, with her skates already on her feet. “Astro,” she said. Astro looked up at her from tying his skate’s laces. “I can’t believe you stood up for me like that, and you were doing this for me. That’s really sweet of you.” Astro tilted his head down, blushing. “Thanks, Zircon.” He said. “I just did it to make you happy and make your feelings unhurt.” Zircon then hugged Astro, even though it made him feel a little embarrassed. Astro’s pinkish blushing went to bright red, and his mouth was halfway open. “Thanks, Astro,” Zircon said. “You’re the best.” Zircon then let go of Astro, and skated away, towards the practice court. *She hugged me?* Astro thought. *Wow, she seems to be the greatest robots I ever met!* “Okay, everybody!” Kennedy said to get everybody’s attention. “The game is about to begin! Get into your positions!” Everybody gets in their positions. “Good luck, Zircon,” The team captain said. “You’re going to need it!” Zircon looked at the team captain, and grumbled. The referee, known as Abercrombie, throws the ball into the air. Luckily, Kennedy grabbed it first. “Over here, Kennedy!” Alejo yells out in the open. Just in time, Kennedy threw the ball before one of the other team’s players tried to tackle him. Alejo starts skating down the court. The other team started charging at him. Alejo was freaked and didn’t know what to do at the right time. He suddenly notices Zircon out in the open and threw the ball towards her yelling, “Zircon! Take the ball!” Zircon caught the ball, but she was puzzled on what to do with it.

The other team started to charge at her. Zircon then finally did something with her and the ball. Zircon had the idea of also charging, but in the direction where the other team was charging at her. “What is she doing?” Kennedy asked, while spotting Zircon. “She can’t get passed the other team; the other team is surrounding her!” Zircon threw the ball into the air, high enough for the ball to go over the five team players, and she took a devastating hard-to-get dodge pass all five players by sliding under the team captain’s legs! Astro’s team was so amazed, that their mouth’s dropped! *How did she do that?* the team captain thought. “Captain, that seemed to be an amazing move Zircon just did,” one of team captain’s players said. “I know,” he said. “But that won’t happen again!” Zircon caught the ball as soon as she slid under team captain’ legs, and started skating down the court. Zircon noticed Astro was open, and also near the other team’s goal. “Astro! Here!” She threw the ball at Astro just before she was tackled. Astro took the ball, and threw it into goal. Astro’s team cheered, but on the other team, the team captain slammed a fist onto the concrete.

Astro’s team was still amazed about Zircon’s tricky shot. “How did you get pass them, Zircon?” Astro asked. “Well,” Zircon began. “Even though the other team was charging at me, I thought I had no choice of moving anywhere. I then had the choice of charging at them, threw the ball in the air, somehow created an opening by sliding under the team captain’s legs, and caught the ball from there.” “Excellent play,” Alejo said. “I’m sure that won’t regret that one.” “It probably doesn’t matter anymore,” Zircon said. “I only did it once so we could score an open goal.” “We know,” Abercrombie said. “If we can keep this up, we can beat the other team in no time flat!” One player from the other team walked up to the team captain and said, “Don’t worry, captain, it was just one goal, we’ll get them next time-” “I DON’T CARE ABOUT THAT!” team captain yelled. “I CARE ABOUT WINNING! WE CAN’T LET THESE GUYS BEAT US! OUR JOB IS TO NOT LET THAT TEAM GET A SINGLE POINT, EVER!” The team captain acted so mad, his eyes started to glow partly red. “Zircon was acting very suspicious about him when she noticed his eyes glowed red. “Guys,” she said to Astro and his friends. “I’ve noticed something suspicious about the other team’s captain. I think we better keep an eye on him while we’re playing the game.” Astro and his friends took a look at the team captain, and noticed his eyes glowing red. “We’ll do the best we can to watch him, Zircon,” Astro said, and the others nodded.

Chapter Twelve

It was finally the last quarter of the game, and both teams are tied with 24 points. “Alright,” Astro said. “We’ve got less than five minutes left on the timer, and don’t forget about what Zircon said.” The others nodded. The team captain’s eyes were glowing so red, he couldn’t control himself. He started acting hardcore on all of his team players, and it started to control them! “We need to go for all five players all at once!” he says to his teammates. “Tackle the players as hard as you can, so they won’t have enough energy to budge. That way, we’ll score and win the game as soon as time runs out!” Both teams both got into their positions again, and Abercrombie throws the ball into the air. Roughly, the team captain nudged Alejo, the person going for the ball, hard enough to send Alejo flying across the court! The others on Astro’s team were amazingly surprised. “Something is definitely wrong with him!” Zircon said. “He even hurt Alejo!” “I’ll trail him,” Astro said. “Just so he won’t anyone else.” Astro turned towards Kennedy and Abercrombie, and recalled, “You two stay out of this quarter, and go help Alejo! Zircon and I will take care of this!” “Two against five?” Kennedy asked. “That’s impossible! They’ll cream both of you!” “We can try!” Zircon said. “Humans don’t stand a chance against us!” Astro and Zircon sped down the court, to catch up with the team captain, who was rapidly charging down the court, trying to get a goal. “The team captain has the ball, now,” Astro said to Zircon. “So if we both tackle him, we may have chances of him dropping the ball.” Zircon nodded. Astro and Zircon luckily sped up the team captain, just enough to tackle him, in order for him to drop the ball, about two to three inches towards the goal. Astro grabbed it, and started speeding down the other side of the court with less than three minutes remain on the timer. The team captain looked at one of his teammates, and yelled, “Now! Do it now!” One of his teammates shot a laser beam from his hands at Astro that caused him to slow down. Zircon suspiciously looked at one of the team captain’s teammates. “They’re not humans,” she said. “They’re just robots made to look like humans!” She then looked at Astro and yelled, “Astro! Quick! Throw me the ball!” Astro, still in pain from the laser beam, nodded and threw the ball at Zircon, so she can catch it the minute the team captain’s teammates grabbed it. The laser beam only hit Astro in order to slow down for a few seconds, so the other team had the chance of getting the ball, but he got back in the game, with a little less than a minute on the timer.

Zircon skates closer towards the other teams goal, and the team captain was skating behind her. “You can do it, Zircon!” Alejo yelled out, but still in pain, naturally scratches and cuts, from the team captain’s nudge. Zircon was just about to throw the ball into the goal, but just before you know it, the team captain slid down, by using an unusual leg move, caused Zircon to trip! Astro’s friends gasped. The team captain then grabbed the ball, and skated off. Astro was surprisingly amazed, and mumbles, “Nobody does that to Zircon!” Zircon got off the ground, and yelled at Astro saying, “Astro! The team captain is a robot! Do something to slow him down, or else his team will win the game!” Astro nodded, and started speeding down the court, trying to catch up with the team captain. He soon caught up with the team captain and tackled him, hard enough so he would drop the ball. With about half a minute remain, Astro grabbed the ball, and sped down the opposite side of the court. The team captain’s eyes glowed to a completely dark red, screaming, “NO!” right across the court. Twenty seconds remain on the timer, and Astro was speeding down the court. “STOP HIM, NOW!” The team captain was ferociously furious. Astro kept an eye on the other team players as they kept trying to hit him using their lasers. The countdown started on the timer: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5… Just at three seconds left, Astro quickly threw the ball towards the goal, and just with a second left, the ball went straight into the goal.

The timer buzzed, and the final score was 28 to 24. Astro’s team cheered happily as everybody jumped up and down except for the other team. Zircon got too excited, and ended up hugging Astro again, saying, “Astro! It was a close game, but I can’t believe we won!” As usual, Astro blushed again. Zircon soon lets go of Astro, smiling and laughing, also, as usual. Astro, Zircon, and his friends walked over to the other team, smiling because of their huge, but close, win. “Well, the bet was a done deal,” Astro said. “So, let Zircon keep playing Rocket Ball!” Zircon and Astro’s friends cheered. The team captain’s eyes suddenly turned back to normal. “No you can’t,” he said. “Yes we can!” Zircon remarked. “You and Astro shook on it!” “I know,” he said. “But I had my fingers crossed.” Astro’s team was surprised. “WHAT?” They all said. “I only did it in case we lost the bet. So, the deal is off.” “You can’t do that!” Alejo yelled. “I can, and I will!” team captain said laughing evilly. “Doing that is cheating!” Zircon said. “You’ve just violated the basic rules of a deal!” Team captain’s eyes glowed red again. “I don’t care!” he said. “Now, you’re going to pay for it!” He and his teammates started glowing all over their bodies. They then started changing into a huge battle army of robots! Astro’s team gasped!

I can't believe this one took too long.
Took me two days. It would've taken me shorter time, but the thinking part took too long...
I also can't believe I made this story all in my mind so far. :wacko:

B) Well done, tic_tac_astro! Your stories really are very exciting to read. I almost found myself being mentally on the terraces of a virtual football stadium.
You did that chapter only in 2 days? You don't have a ghostwriter by any chance?

So far, I believe I've been working on this story for about 2 weeks.
And all of this is coming straight out of my head!
Even though it sometimes takes me a long time to think it up, but I've came so far on this story, and I'm not stopping! ^_^
Yeah, I would say that Zircon's Jewel is a good one, too.

Chapter 13: Zircon truly meets Dr. Tenma.

Chapter Thirteen

Zircon suspiciously looked at the robots. “I don’t understand,” she said. “Why would they do something that isn’t fair for us?” “We don’t have much time to explain,” Astro said. “We need to get Alejo, Kennedy, and Abercrombie out from this area!” Zircon nodded. As Astro and Zircon were getting the three out of the practice court, the team captain robot and his teammates had a lock-on target on Zircon, and started to fire laser cannons at her! Zircon luckily spotted their laser cannons quick enough to get out of the way, but just barely, one of the laser cannons broke both of her skates. Astro noticed Zircon dodging the laser cannons. “This is crazy!” he said. “What’s controlling them?” Zircon flew up into the air, and glanced at the team captain’s eyes. “It looks like their powers are locked on me,” Zircon said. “But I can’t seem to figure out who’s controlling them.” “We’ve got no choice,” Astro said. “If they attack you, they might have chances of destroying you. I must stop them from doing that!” Astro was about to fire his laser beam at the army robots to distract them, while in the air, but Zircon stopped him. “No, Astro!” she said. “If you do, they might destroy you!” “There’s no other choice I have, Zircon,” Astro said, putting his hands on her shoulders. “If I don’t do something about it, it’ll be the end of you!” Zircon was surprised that she never heard Astro say something like that to her. “Astro… I can’t believe your doing this,” Astro sighed. “I know, Zircon, but it’s all I have to protect you.” Astro took his hands off of Zircon’s shoulders, and started firing his laser beam at the robots. Zircon sighed, and then gasped. Her mind was entering into a dark background. She heard somebody laughing evilly standing on top of a building. Zircon looked around and noticed the person who revived her two days ago! “Tenma!” Zircon yelled.

“So, you’ve finally noticed who I am,” Dr. Tenma said. “You’re no match for me! That jewel will be mine!” Zircon gasped and touched the jewel on her forehead. “You want this jewel?” Zircon asked, surprised. “Why?” “Because! With that jewel’s power, I can use it to destroy Metro City! In return, I’ll put a new city in place, called, Robot City! The ultimate city where all obsolete and useless robots will come here, to serve humans, and do all of their dirty work!” Zircon gasped. “But, what made you change your mind over not trying to make robots serve humans anymore?” “You and Astro, of course!” “Astro and me?” “Yes! All I wanted was to create a robot that would take the place of my beloved son, Tobio!” “Tobio?” Zircon asked. “What happened to him?” “He was killed in a nasty car accident! If he wasn’t so stupid enough to even drive a car by himself, he never could’ve died!” “Hey! Don’t call him stupid! There must be a reason why he was killed. Was it because of something you didn’t want to do with him?” Tenma was shocked. He never realized Zircon would ask such a question. He sighed. “He’s been asking me tons of times that we could go to the amusement park, but every time, I had more important things to do, and in the end, I keep telling him that we could go some other time.” “So, that’s why!” Zircon said. “I don’t care, it doesn’t matter now!” Tenma started to get angry again. “After from what Astro said before, that he will never take forth in any of my plans, it completely changed me from the inside. Now, I’ve noticed that you possess tons of power, and with that power, I will rule this city!” Zircon gasped as Tenma laughed evilly. Zircon then notices that he was holding a remote control. “Wait, that remote control, you’re using it destroy me?” Tenma made an evil smile. “Exactly,” he said. “When you’re destroyed, the jewel will be mine!”

Tenma laughed evilly once more as he pressed a button on the control to make the team captain robot fire powerful laser cannons at Zircon. She dodged it, and says, “Never, Tenma! This jewel is mine to have possession over! Without it, I’m done for!” “Very well,” Tenma said. “You’re off the hook for now, but soon, that jewel will be mine!” Tenma did a few minor adjustments to the robots using the remote control, and threw an ice bomb in front of him. Fog blew everywhere, but without noticing, he vanished without a trace.

You'll find out what happened to the army robots in the next chapter.

Chapter 14:Zircon passes out :wacko:

Chapter Fourteen

Zircon was thinking about what Tenma said, *Your off the hook for now, but soon, that jewel will be mine!* “He may be doing this,” Zircon said to herself. “But that will never happen!” Zircon suddenly heard Astro getting his butt kicked by the army robots. His body was completely covered in scratches, and sparks were coming out of him. He could barely move. “Puny weakling,” the team captain said. “Can’t you see you can’t beat us? We’re invincible! Now, let’s finish him off!” Zircon gasped. Just after the army robots were firing all-time laser cannons at Astro, Zircon and quickly flew down to block the hit using a force field. “What?” the team captain was surprised. “You can’t do that to us! Those laser cannons couldn’t stand a chance against you! I’m telling you, we’re invincible!” “To me, your not!” Zircon yelled, and fired a lightning ball at one of the team captain’s players. It was powerful enough to completely knock him down! “Astro, I’ve just realized something. Tenma is the one controlling these robots. They were designed to never lose. Since they lost against us, they were programmed to transform into battle bots and then try to destroy us when they lost.” “You’re kidding!” Astro said surprised. “I wish I was, but it’s true,” Zircon said. The team captain was shocked! “Impossible!” he said. “Your power is no match for us!” “I hold the power of a jewel that has unlimited energy,” Zircon said. “With this power, I am invincible!” Zircon started stirring up a laser cannon so powerful, it could wipe out the whole army! “NO!” Team captain yelled. “We mustn’t let her destroy us! Let’s fuse our laser cannons together. Increase it to full power! That way, our power will be equal!” At the same time, Zircon and the army robots fired their laser cannons at each other. Astro and his friends were surprised that both of their powers were matched! “I told you for the last and final time, Zircon!” Team captain recalled. “We’re invincible! Our powers are equal!” Zircon wasn’t giving up, and she then increased her power twice as much as the army robots power. “WHAT!?” Team captain and his players were shocked. “NO!” Zircon’s laser cannon blasted the robot army high in the air! The laser cannon was strong enough to automatically activate their self-destruction systems, and made the whole army blow up in a massive explosion!

Zircon sighed, but sparks were now coming out of her. Astro’s friends cheered, while Astro smiled happily. He was now able to move through all of the damages the robot army did to him. Astro ran over to Zircon to congratulate her. “I can’t believe you destroyed them all by yourself!” he said. “Just wait until we tell Dr. O’shay about this!” “Yeah…” Zircon says partly smiling and also feeling weak. “Although, I’ve used a little too much power from that laser cannon. I’m not sure if I can make-” Zircon passed out, and her body started drooping, hoping it would hit the ground. Luckily, Astro caught her in his arms. Astro’s friends gasped, and walked over to Astro and Zircon to get a closer look. “Wow,” Abercrombie said. “After all of that battling, she still passed out.” “That’s because she used too much power,” Alejo said. “Astro, will she be alright?” Kennedy asked. “I believe so,” Astro said. “She just passed out.” “Okay,” Alejo said. “We’ll see you tomorrow.” “I hope she’ll be okay,” Kennedy said. Astro’s friends walked out of the practice court to head home.

Astro flew home carrying Zircon in his arms. *I don’t understand,* Astro thought. *I thought I would protect Zircon from those robots, not the other way around.* When he got home, he entered the door in an I-can’t-believe-this-was-happening mood. “Astro!” Zoran yelled happily as she was drawing in her coloring book. “Well? Did you guys win?” Astro looked at Zoran and partly smiled. “Yeah, we won,” he replied. Zoran bounced up and down, cheering happily. “So, where’s Zircon?” “She passed out,” “What?” Zoran says confused. “There was a huge problem that happened with the other team. They were robots, and since they lost, they were programmed to transform into battle bots, and they try to destroy the other team in order to recover their loss.” Zoran was still confused. “So, what happened to Zircon?” “After all that battling she did to stop those robots, she passed out,” Astro said. “She’s in my arms if you haven’t looked.” Zoran tilted her head down and noticed Zircon with a few scratches around her body, then gasped, covering her mouth. “Why did she do this?” she asked. “She did it to protect me from anymore damages,” Astro said. “I was trying to protect her, but the whole thing was turned around.” “She can’t do this!” Zoran yelled. “Zircon was the only robot I know who seemed to be very special to me! And now, she’s gone!” Tears were starting to run down Zoran’s eyes. “How come you didn’t do something about it?” Astro closed his eyes and tilted his head down. Zoran was so upset, she ran upstairs. Astro opened his eyes to look at Zircon. *Wow, even that made Zoran upset,* Astro thought. *I better tell Dr. O’shay about this.* Astro ran out of the house and flew towards the Ministry of Science.

Chapter 15: Zircon revived!

Chapter Fifteen

It was in the evening when Astro got Zircon to the Ministry of Science, he quickly ran to get to Dr. O’shay’s office. Doctor noticed him enter through from the elevator entrance, and also holding Zircon in his arms. “I see that your Rocket Ball practice didn’t go very well,” he said, crossing his arms. “Oh, it did,” Astro remarked. “We’ve beaten the other team, but-” “Don’t bother telling me now,” Doctor said. “Tell me once I get home. But I have one question, what happened to Zircon?” “I was afraid you’d ask me that,” Astro said. “Can I tell you at home? Because for me to answer that question is part of the story.” Doctor nodded. “Alright. Hand me Zircon. I can fix her and put her in bed once I get home.” Astro agreed. “Okay,” he said, and flew back home.

Once Astro got home, he headed up the stairs to get ready for bed. He noticed, in Zoran’s room, that she wasn’t going to sleep. “Are you okay, Zoran?” Astro said as he entered her room. Zoran looked at Astro and replied, “Yeah, but what about Zircon?” “She’ll be fine. I sent her to the ministry for Doctor to repair. Zircon will return home in a few minutes or so.” Zoran smiled and hugged Astro. “Thanks, Astro,” she said. “No problem, Zoran. Now go to sleep. You’ll get to see Zircon tomorrow.” Zoran nodded, and went straight to sleep. Astro went into his room to go to bed, but before he did, he thought about Zircon. *Zircon was one of the best robots I’ve ever met before. Doctor said she’ll be sleeping in her bed when he comes home. I just can’t wait to see her tomorrow!* Astro then turned off his bedroom lights.

The next morning, Astro woke up smiling. He then checked Zircon’s bed; she wasn’t there. Astro gasped and started looking around his bedroom to find her, but still, no Zircon. Zoran opened Astro’s door and noticed trying to look for Zircon. “Morning, Astro!” she said. Astro turned around, ran towards Zoran in a quick rush, and started shaking her to death. “Zoran! Where’s Zircon? Isn’t she supposed to be here?” Zoran laughed after Astro stopped shaking her. “You know,” Zoran continues. “Zircon has been up way before you, Astro. She’s downstairs if you’re looking for her.” Astro sighed, saying, “What a relief. I thought Doctor was still working on her back at the ministry.” Zoran laughed. “Well, come on! Do you want to see her, or not? She’s been waiting for you to wake up!” Astro and Zoran head downstairs and spotted Doctor reading the newspaper, and Zircon working on a three-hundred piece jigsaw puzzle. “Ah! Astro!” Doctor said smiling. “The repairs I’ve made to Zircon were a success!” “Nothing bad happened to her?” Astro asked. “Of course not! Her memories, powers, and other installations were all okay. She just needed to be recharged, and a good, long rest in order for the repairs I’ve made to be successful. If you want to see her, she’s in the living room.” Astro smiled. “Thanks, Doctor!” “No problem, Astro,” he said. “Now go and see Zircon. She’s been waiting for about half an hour.” Astro nodded and ran into the living room. “Zircon!” said Astro. “Astro!” said Zircon. They both ran towards each other, and then hugged. “I’m so glad to see you again! I thought wasn’t going to make it!” “Me too,” Astro said. “But, it’s great to see that you’re back!”

They both laughed as Doctor entered the living room. “Alright, you two,” he said. “We better get going.” Zircon was confused. “Where are we going?” she asked. “Do you remember from before?” Doctor asked. “You said you’ve always wanted to go to the amusement park!” Zircon wasn’t confused anymore, and smiled. “Oh, yeah! I remember that!” “I’ve heard that my friends will be there,” Astro said. “Then, let’s go!”

Chapter Sixteen

The four got into the air car, and headed towards the amusement park. Happy to notice, Astro’s friends were already there. “Hey, Astro!” Kennedy yelled. “Glad you can make it!” Astro, Zoran, Zircon, and Doctor walked towards Alejo, Kennedy, and Abercrombie. “Where’s Zircon?” Abercrombie asked. “Is she feeling okay?” “She’s better than okay!” Astro said. “I asked Dr. O’shay to repair her last night.” Zircon stepped out from behind Astro. “Hi guys!” Zircon said happily. “Did you guys miss me?” Astro’s friends gasped while smiling. “We’re glad you’re back, Zircon,” Alejo said. “Come on! Let’s go ride some rides before the lines start to fill up.” Astro’s friends and Zoran left the parking lot to go ride some of the roller coaster rides. “Astro,” Doctor said before Astro left the parking lot. “I need to talk to you.” “What is it, Doctor?” Astro asked. Before Zircon left the parking lot, she accidentally overheard their conversation. “Do you remember telling me yesterday about what happened at the Rocket Ball game?” Astro thought about it. “Yeah, I remember,” he said. “Why did you ask?” “Well,” Doctor began. “Yesterday, when I was looking at Zircon’s memory bank, it showed that Zircon was battling an army of battle bots.” “Battle bots?” Zircon said quietly, while peeking from behind an air car in the parking lot. “I don’t think I remember that.” “In the end, she passed out from using too much power,” Doctor said. “I know,” Astro said. “I promised her that I would protect her from anything that anybody would do to her.”

Doctor thought about what Astro said. “Wait, when I looked into her memory bank, it was showing Zircon talking to Dr. Tenma; he was talking about getting the mysterious jewel on her forehead.” “Dr. Tenma?” Zircon asked, still confused. “Wow,” Astro said. “I didn’t even know she was even talking to Dr. Tenma while I was trying to hold off those battle bots.” Zircon was shocked. “Wait!” Zircon yelled, as she came from behind an air car. Astro and Dr. O’shay noticed that Zircon was still in the parking lot. “I remember that! When Tenma reprogrammed those robots with that remote control, he did it in order for me to battle them! No wonder why I passed out!” “Zircon,” Doctor said. “Why didn’t you go with the others into the amusement park?” Zircon sighed. “Because, when I accidentally overheard your conversation, it seemed interesting to hear.” “Anything else?” Doctor asked. “Well, I needed a chance to remember that part of the story,” Zircon said. “I seemed to have forgotten that part when I passed out.” “Is there another reason why you’re here?” “To get Astro! I want everybody to enjoy it here! Besides, it’s more fun when all of us are on the rides!” Doctor smiled and said, “Well, it’s okay, since you really meant it.” Zircon and Astro smiled. Doctor looked at his watch. “Okay, we got here around noon, so tell the others to meet back the parking lot at exactly five o’ clock sharp.” “Okay,” Astro said. “Come on, Zircon! Let’s go tell the others before they all wonder off.” Zircon giggled as they both ran through the amusement park entrance.
