I guess that proves it. Astro can remove his pants.

I really did not need to know that..

...

Actually, was there not an episode where an elephant picks him up by the shorts and they streach far enough for his bum to show? I was sure there was. I remember making the comment at the time that "hey, that aint possible... is it?".

We later compared the scene to the old billboard Ad where the puppy is pulling on the little girls pants and her bum is showing. I think the ad was for suntan lotion?

sheesh.. showing my age with that one I think.

anyway.. my senior moments out of the way.. AWSOME PENCILS DUDES!
Atom's briefs has one such image. It was from episode 122 the monster mantler, which inspired the manga Space bug (volume 23). Anyway, poor Atom suffered as the comic relief for over a minute of physical comedy that started with a good old fashioned spanking. The mantler had tenticles with which it overwhelmed the hero, and put him through a few weird motions, from dancing to swinging like a bell in a tower.

BTW, Atom' bare little bottom was not the only one spanked in the 60s anime. Episode 6 Denkyuu had poor Tawashi connected to Ochanomizu's echtopsychoscope, and was so unfortunate as to be remembering his mother spanking him as a child at the time. Chief Nakamura was rolling on the floor laughing at Tawashi. The manga version had Chief Nakamura as the machine's victim, though his thought were not nearly as embarassing as Tawashi's. :D

Astroboy, Uran and their human counterparts went camping:  :D

Here is a thread with a few pics of Atom, Uranium, and the two robot actors portraying them in a motion picture. Confusion at the shooting studio.

(Edited this post's URL & made it point to the new thread rather than the pics themselves)

On the left foreground is Astro, on the right is Tobio.
On the left background is Uran, and on the right? Is it a human Uran? :D

It's the girl from the 2003 series. She appered in the first episode when Astro went exploring the city (the girl who's always with her father.)
Yes, now I recognize her. Isn't she a little too tall? I hope you don't mind if I pinpoint insignificant details :P
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

Adrian, you are so good at working the 2003 Atom art style. Hmmmm....

Let's see what a Kimba/Astro duo from you would look like : )

B) Awesome!! Your drawing style really is second to none, adrian_68!
What kind of pencils do you use? I suppose they must be very soft ones...

Yes, I use soft pencils namely HB, 2B, 4B and 7B.

As for dannavy's request, I need a Kimba pic for reference.

To me those are simple pencils... But in your hand, they become magic wands! :o

If you ever feel like drawing Astro on a skateboard and Uran on roller skates... ;) But only if you have a strong enough desire to do it! :)

At least they can't hurt themselves when falling (apart from a couple of dented heads being left).

And they don't have to wear wrists, knees and elbows pads, unlike me... <_< I sure would be a much better skater if I could throw tricks without being afraid of falling...
