Yes, there was. Episodes 116 & 117. Also, this story originated in the 54th manga adventure (see volume 3). There is another thread relating to a fourth version of that story:

While browsing through the 1963 episode guide on the link given from this website (http://www.astroboy.tv), I checked the Olympics episode and look at the pic on this page. Looks like the 1963 "Photar" had his "antenna" on the working sheet! :o

Are the "Greatest Robot in the World" episodes in the 104 episodes that made it to the US? Maybe it's just me but I can't see them...
