:wahah: :wahah: :wahah: Sure :wahah: I guess :wahah: I mean no big deal :wahah: buy why not? :wahah: :wahah: :wahah:
Okay, here we go. I stayed very close to the original texts, so if you feel that commas or even verbs are missing or that the sentences are too long, its not because of bad translation!

You have to wonder if they were trying to pass their DVDs as bootlegs!

However, also because I stayed close to the texts, Im sure the translations are worse than the original texts.
Thats what happens when you arent familiar with those expressions in another language, not to mention the technical stuff
Hopefully it will still make sense, and otherwise please tell me!

I wasnt sure about the use of « period », as in « period material » and « period version », but it means « at the time ».

At left there are the quiz, and "Bandes-annonces" means "Trailers".

On the occasion of this DVD edition, a deep editorial work has been done with the goal of offering the public the series in its original format. That is the 52 original episodes in the order made for the Japanese broadcast, with more faithfully translated titles. The original copies of the French-Canadian dubbing on 16 mm film having been lost and the 1-inch video tapes available to us being particularly damaged (deteriorated colors, light and definition) the episodes were remastered at best, especially by means of the numerical process « Archangel ». Our main working source was therefore the Canadian period material, a reworked version made for the North American market. In this one, the Japanese episodes 1 and 2 were re-edited, concealing all the scenes involving Atlas. This is why we designate as « episod 01 & 02 » the first episode of the French period version.
« North American market »? Why not just write « Canadian market »? Its not like the US got this cut version
Unless they were including Mexico!

I also find very confusing the way they talk about the « 52 original episodes », as if they were the exact same episodes shown in Japan. They did say later it was « reworked », but knowing what it really means, its not very clear

Those great [or famous?] game shows, in which Astro was doing a voluntarily incorrect summary of the broadcasted episode, were originally worked out by the Canadians before being also used in France during the first broadcast on the main channel as early as 1986. The goal was of course to detect the mistake hidden in Astros story, choosing from three possible answers. Participation was done with an answer form sent to the channel on free paper*. Those sequences were integrated into the end of the episode, right before the trailer presenting the following adventure. They are offered here in their complete version.
* I guess they mean that children were using whatever piece of paper they wanted as an answer form.
So at least this release includes the trailers!

I guess they didnt want to include the « our game will continue in the next episode » 51 times (it was done using the scene in which Astro flies after putting back his boots after getting Nikkis legs).
However, I dont recall having multiple choices to find the mistake. So I guess they might have been included during the following show and not part of the actual Astroboy show? If that is the case, Strange Wings, do you want me to make up multiple choices for the summaries I already have so you could play (and get a higher success rate)? Then youd really have it all!

:wahah: This was on their forum and is also worthy of a translation :
« This is a forum, not a cell phone, your keyboard has more than 100 keys and allows you to express yourself in a proper French. SMS language forbidden. » (SMS language would be something like « How R U? ») [/b][/quote]
My brother with already taking part in the contest! It gained a yellow tee-shirt of Astroboy!
