I never broke anything while developping. I am becoming much more dangerous while playing  I often insult the computer, and sometimes, depending on the device I use to play, knock the mouse on the desk or hit the keyboard :P

And you call that "playing"? :P

Obviously you're not a true gamer... I will teach you the truth about gaming. Join me in the Dark Side of Gaming, and I will teach you ways of playing you can't even imagine :p h34r:
And by the way, I am not [i]always
ranting at the computer :P

Although it had nothing to do with computer science, I once knocked a ruler on my table when I was at school. It broke into 3 pieces of about 10 cm each: the first one remained in my hand, the second one flew a few meters away, and the last one hit the opposite wall  I kept one of the pieces to draw lines, after all a line can be drawn in multiple parts ^_^
... and... I was not eager to tell my parents how I had broken it

May I ask what had happened...?
The teacher was absent for a few minutes, and you know, children start speaking ;) They were all making such noise that I wanted to make more noise to have them shut up, so I smashed my ruler on the table, but it didn't make much noise  Don't ask me what went through my mind at this moment though, it's too far for me to remember clearly how I ever thought it could have worked

Oh, you are in a different universe, fafner. I can't quote you! :D

I'm not claiming to be a gamer either. But when I "play", breaking my toys doesn't cross my mind! :P

And by the way, I am not always ranting at the computer :P

When you are playing well, I'm sure it's because of your doings! :) And when something is wrong, it's always the computer's fault! :P

It's very easy to shut up an entire class with a ruler, even with a soft plastic transparent one. You just had the wrong technique.

One day in class we were working in small groups. The teacher was in the class, but the 36 of us were talking, so it was pretty noisy. At one point, for no particular reason, my neighbor decided to quickly slide her ruler between my chair and my behind.

It startled me. And when I am startled, my reaction is huge.

So I screamed at the top of my lungs.

The entire class shut up at once and stared at me. The teacher looked at me as if I was a mentally disabled alien. Then she asked for an explanation. I didn't want to involve my classmate, but I couldn't claim I had decided to scream by myself either. My face was white. Me classmate's was red. I wanted to vanish somewhere, anywhere. But I didn't vanish... So we laboriously explained what had happened... :p h34r:

 It is weird, though, because after the tower has been destroyed, the monitor still shows a desktop! :p

Even weirder: once you got a blue screen, you can correct it by hitting the tower. I can tell you by experience that no blue screen ever goes away this way :D
Just hit repeatedly the keyboard, then when you get the blue screen do the same with the tower (any part of the tower will do). Rince and repeat until final destruction :d evil:

I tried that, but it did not work; the blue screen stayed.

Edit: Ok, it worked the last time I tried it; perhaps I hit it too many times.

In fact, smashing on the top won't clear the blue screen. Only side and frontal hits will.

Who said I was practicing a lot? :p
