I am happy about that.

In choosing whether tou use 'me' or 'I,' you must decide whether you are performing action, or recieving action. If you are performing action, use 'I'; however if you are receiving, then use 'me.'

Examine these sentences:

"Please give me a 2 scoop ice cream cone."
"I want a 2 scoop ice cream cone."

In the 1st, you are asking someone to give you something, that is you are to receive a thing. You are being passive in this case. In #2, you are stating that you want a thing. This is action, you are doing something; thus, 'I' is correct.

This is another example of my French influence. "Like me" is perfectly acceptable in French. Since we don't have any word that can "implicitly replace" another verb, it's understandable as our sentences would be way too redundant: "She couldn't wait until she could speak English as well as I speak English"! Therefore it's something that I never even came close to consider in English. It had totally escaped me!
