True is a male robot, and you are right, he looks a lot like Astro! It causes problems to Astro! I thought Light Ray was female too, but I was told he's male...

You already know a lot of these characters:

Miss Ford = Yuko
Skunk = Skunk/Gredin in French
Bruton = Pluto
Light Ray = Denkou
Daddy Walrus = Higeoyagi?
Inspector Gumshoe = Detective Tawashi
Alvin = Abercrombie
Kenneth = Kenichi
Theodore = Tamao
Torch and Captain Perot were also in the 2003 series, but I forgot what their names were. Same with Dr Huntley and probably a few more.

Torch was called Drake in the 2000s, both in English and French (only the pronounciation is different).
