Man, even my dad's old calculator was able to display an E rather than go up in smoke.   <_<

Cybo does not have that problem. Cybo could kill you and let the other live. All in defense of it's evironmental containment. Or home. Astro is in school... You attack the school, Astro fights against you. You could get hurt, or killed. Astro will run and play and laugh afterwards and not bring it to mind even though the incident is stored in memory for recall and analysis.
So that the most economic means of stopping, averting, or destroying the enemy can be utilized. If verbal communication indoctrination, education fails, Astro will employ firepower. :)

:wahah: And now you will remember that the Rainbow valley episode involved "Weather Control?"
Astroboy Photonic weapons main sequence. :D
Operation Toshio
the Ju'on
School day one.... The storm at sea...Hologarphic educator

 ?!
Astroscan: weather control

Well Jeffbert the security issue is the climatic disruption that could result from global warming. The artic icecap is now 30% melted in summer, permafrost is also melting. The amount of water vapor is increasing, and the destruction of the gulf coast shrimp and maritime ports maybe only the shocking start of what the Japanese sailors called "The Kamikaze" the divine wind.... The Destroyer of Worlds.
The Jihadist enemy has already laid hold of these hurracaines as propaganda weapons.... Signs from god in order to rally terrorist forces. Weather control... Do an analysis. :)

The possibility
A sudden unexpected catastrophic precipitation.... Monsoonal, 20-30 inches of rain in the urban sprawl clogged flood plains of the southwest, midwest, south, or for that matter, any where in the western urbanized developed world.... Severe super blizzards, or extreme snowfalls anywhere....
Urban resettlement due to forced evacuation in winter. Unevacuatable deluged urban centers...

I still do not understand how any of this relates to error handling routines, ;) NOMAD, or division by zero.

funny... But the "Rainbow Valley" episode speculates on the impact of failed or sabotaged weather control on food cultivation and supply.... Let's see how comedic you wax when the southern hemisphere enters into it's summer weather patterns in the next 60 day's. :D
desalinization of the gulfstream Geoweather machine is no joke.... neither are astroboy Photon weapons in a Jihadist conflict. :wahah:
We still have your diatribes in memory. :P

I suppose it is futile to attempt to show you that your response to Dr. Frag's post (that you quoted) has absolutely nothing to do with it. B)

I suppose it's impossible trying to show you that you are wrong?
Dr. Frag was remarking about the AI or robot quandry concerning the prime law... He stated that even his calculater would not go up in smoke.... We were discussing Astro weapons and the use of them against human beings. I remarked that Astro could blast you without shorting out because of the first robot law that Asimov put forth....
The instruction and assigned mission and task is the diversion of the flood when the climatic disruption began. :D see "save the Robot farm..."
These raging hurracaines produce a photonic energy that can be redirected on an angelic level and thus can be used as a weapon in a jihad... Terrorist jihadists and Apocalyptic mystics shall arise and fight for control of the life in the clouds. Every destructive storm, every earthquake, every drowning. What is the power source of Astro weapons? Could he use them to destroy an enemy? These were the questions... :wahah:

Personally, I am as puzzled as jeffbert  Where is the link between a calculator going up in smoke and the "diversion of the flood"
These raging hurracaines produce a photonic energy that can be redirected on an angelic level and thus can be used as a weapon in a jihad...

Now I think you should explain how a hurricane can produce photonic energy?

well Faf the confusion is yours.... Robots are shown time and again sparking and sputtering as they are ordered to harm humans while their prime directive forbids the harming of humans,(see robbie robot in forbidden planet) Dr. frag meant that even his calc would not self destruct when overloaded. As for the assigned task @ Rainbow valley and the conversion of disaster into photonic energy sources that can be used as weapons in the Jihad.... :P :wahah:
Astro must divert the flood or the food supply will be destroyed. (see "Food of the Gods" ambrosia, Soma, etc..). :)

In the post that you quote, Fafner said nothing that took either side in the robots burning up when ordered to do something contrary to a prime directive. He did ask you to show the relationship betweeen "a calculator going up in smoke and the 'diversion of the flood,"

& asked you to

"explain how a hurricane can produce photonic energy?"

You answered neither of these questions. Why do you quote that post rather than 1 that actually says something with which you disagree? ;)
