I agree about the scene of Astro, or I should say Toby, against Atlas. It's cool to watch and hear them fly at the same time, I wish it would last a little bit longer (even in the complete episode). Their conversation was funny too, here is a part of it. :P

Tobio: Nice to meet you! :)
Atlas: Cut the crap! You disturbed my work!

The first time I saw Atlas robbing the supermarket, I replayed it a few times, it was too funny! At the same time, you can't help it but feel for him!

BTW, there is another flashback in a later episode. Like the one you mentioned, this one hasn't been restored, it has always been there.

The flashbacks are in "Atlas lives again". They have always been there, as I have seen them in the episode I downloaded from Anapan's FTP server. When I saw the episode again last year, I remembered I had seen the flashbacks in my childhood too. I had thought I had missed an episode, both in my childhood and last year :D

Didn't they cut one of the flashback in "Atlas Lives Again" in French?

I've just remembered, I believe the other one is in "The Crystal of the Desert".

They cut the scenes when he uses his hip guns and finger laser, as well as when he leaves the counter in fire. This is not the kind of difference of details I would have remembered anyway :P

I didn't remember it either, even though I did remember that episode. They also cut the Tobio/young Atlas fight altogether as Astro meets Atlas in his hideout.

3. During the ending where Tobio is stuffed into the box, and is closed, the music slightly hiccups in the japanese track. Was there a scene inbetween this or something?

Having just taken so many screenshots of those episodes, and having just watched again the first English episode, I believe I may have mislead you in my previous answer. I'm not sure where the hiccup occured (I didn't pay attention), but Tenma was shown searching for Tobio in that episode. I think I got confused because in the Canadian/French version, it's not shown. With Manga's new version, I've seen three totally different edits of that show and I think I'm on the verge of being totally confused!

But if you saw the screenshots in my other thread (or have downloaded the episodes), there was the ending to the young Atlas story after Astro had been put in the box. I don't remember if the episode ended with the shot of the boat or with Atlas though...

I'm having a problem watching episodes from anapans server, Quicktime complains it cant find a plugin to show the episode and gives up. What do I need to play the episodes?

Which episodes do you have problems with?
Anyway, if possible, you could have a try with other players to see whether there are problems with those ones too.
