It could have been cut so that more commercials could be run. ;)

I have doubts, it's really in the same scene and there is not a bit of the music missing. That would be the weirdest cut ever, but who knows! ;)

In Robot Land, Prince Siegfried suddenly finds himself in a short sleeves costume! :D

Image

(Here you can see how it's supposed to look like.)

We already had a case of Devil King with black hair instead of brown, but there was another, earlier, in Astro's house:

Image

(Off topic, but in case somebody cares, I realized it was "Night on the Bare Mountain" by Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky that was playing every time Devil King shows up in the episode.)

Looks like Astro doesn't need to retract his feet in order to fly, after all!

Image

Very strange! Even in The Girl from Alsoar, after he got rid of his ski boots, his feet retracted! (It might not be that clear in the above pic, but it is clear on the TV, and it's not only for a few frames.)

As always, there is something wrong with Dr. Elefun's suit. This time his tie sometimes loses its stripes:

This guard's suit is changing color:

Astro's collar is white here instead of yellow:

In The Greatest Robot in the World (part II), Abra's head is suddenly totally covered in white instead of the usual black on the face and white elsewhere:

In Uran's Twin, Uran has white sleeves instead of pink:

And her mom's dress is suddenly more simple than in the above (look at her waist):

In Outer Spaceport R45, Mr. Tennyson has black hair on the picture with his tennager son.

Image

But when his son was a baby, his hair was all white! :P

Before Astro put his boots for the first time in Robot Circus, his feet were uncolored. Well, it happens again here:

The gray or dark hair is easy to explain. The guy was too busy with work to bother dating when his hair was gray. But then when he decided to seek a wife, he used dye to give him a youthful appearance.

You mean he decided to seek a wife when his son was a teenager, but not before he was born?

Well, maybe his first wife did left him because he kept forgetting to dye is hair anymore after his son was born, so when he decided to remarry, he started dying his hair again? Since his hair is white in the episode, he must have found himself single again. :P

B) Thanks for the information about this classical piece's origin!
I kept wondering myself where this was taken from. So far, Mussorgsky's only tune I knew yet was called "The Ballet Of The Chicks In Their Shells".

You are welcome.

I was curious, so I searched on iTunes to hear that one. I found a "Ballet of the Unhatched Chickens", I supposed that was the one! Aaaah, those translators! :D However I can't recall having heard it before.

:D Astro forever, this one is for you:

Image

A little cross reference to M. C. Escher.

Speaking of Escher, check out his version of the Hypercube. B)

I know I'm, like, very late, but for some reason I had missed the "optical problem" the first time I had seen this, even with the links and such! :p h34r: I think maybe it's because I didn't realize it was different from the image in the Photoshop thread! It hit me a few weeks ago as I was browsing the thread to find an earler message! But I did find it very very funny after all! :wahah:

I found one concerning Princess Odette ('Lollypop' in Hullabaloo Land) in the 80s version. When she is covering her eyes as she weeps. I will leave it to you to post the images, though.

Anyway, I had just viewed the 60s Robot Land & Hullabaloo Land, & was really tickled at the dragon's English name, Firesnout. :D Poor little Tink, although his name was used several times in Robot Land, he remained nameless in the English version.

But there is another problem with this story, that afflicts all three versions. Anybody care to name it? :P
