This is Tezuka's version of San Fermin. It's just that Inspector Gumshoe couldn't afford the price for leasing a real bull, so instead he tuned up his police car for taking over the bull's place. After doing some persuading work by the Inspector, both Chief McClaw and Dr. Elefun had given their acceptance to participate at this race.


Dr. Elefun: "I'm feeling somewhat of bloody silly..."

Chief McClaw: "At least you've had the choice about whether to participate or not!!"

Insp. Gumshoe: "You both shut up and run!..."

Perhaps you are unfamiliar with Monty Python's Flying Circus. It had a sketch called "Killer Cars," that was very similar toi this scene, except that the cars caught & devoured the people. However, a giant cat soon came and ate all the killer cars, too bad it ate everything else also.

Me and unfamiliar with the Pythons? No way!
I've taped the most of their episodes several years ago, however that particular scetch you mentioned doesn't seem to appear in any ep I recorded. I must have missed that one.
Wasn't that scetch one of Terry Gilliam's weird animations? In which episode did it appear?

After the incident last week, I am considering finding a better host for my stuff. I currntly use Bravenet, but it seems that it has very poor protection against hackers. So, I will use a pic hosted by someone else:
