I was thinking of the Astro Boy story with the robot Cleopatra. I read it recently!

I should note (obvious though it may be) that the idea of Egyptians holding a large rally (as seen in this story) that featured a woman posing as a goddess would not likely be tolerated in Egypt, Muslim-dominated as it is. Lupin the 3rd also had a story about Egypt & supernatural powers.
