What is that pig-jar thing that Tezuka-dono made??

I had listed all those that were in the 80 series in my "Random Observations" thread, but I can only find that thread in the archives now. What happened? The last post was in May of this year.

Oh, and I also found this:

"A recurring figure in almost all of Tezuka's work - both manga and anime - is a figure which looks something like the head of a pig. Actually, this is called a "hyoutan-tsugi," or sewed gourd. According to Tezuka, it was based on a drawing by his sister when they were both young, and the figure was always there to provide comic relief rather than being an actual character"
