how do you get the same color of the skin to be used to color?
I want to know how to do that. :)

It was tricky. :) I used a combination of techniques with Paintshop Pro 6.

For some parts I copied a lasso section of skin with a feathered edge (so it blurs a bit on the edges and pastes in smoother) and pasted them where I wanted more skin. Especially for the black lines, but I had to rotate the selections.

Other parts I used the push effect, and spread the skin colours out to other areas. I also used the smudge effect, but less so because you lose texture.

The easy way is to use the eye-dropper tool, which picks up the colour from wherever you select it. But if you draw with that colour, you tend to get a flat painted area that stands out too much. So the best way is to copy and paste small sections from elsewhere in the picture.

The barrels were put over the top using a different layer. (so yes she is naked underneath, but no rude bits! :D )

I always do it this way. I try to spread the colors exactly like they are in the picture (in the picture I submitted in this round, there would be two colors: the part of the trunk that is in the shadow and the part where there is light). However, after I'm done coloring the sections I want, I color over the edges with one color or the other (or both) by setting the opacity at something less than 100%. The colors then blend nicely. :) It wasn't necessary for the trunk though, but in many other cases it is.

So the best way is to copy and paste small sections from elsewhere in the picture.

Sometimes I do that, too! :D It's useful when a background color isn't completely flat, for example. But I don't do that nearly as often as the above solution.

This game really helped me learn Photoshop! :D

We wouldn't be able to see anyway. Are you sure you didn't do anything for your own guilty pleasure? :p
