For the photoshop sourpuss I am, I wonder how I still manage to participate in this topic. I don't have the slightest clue about what Astro Forever and DrFrag are talking about in their latest posts here.

There's always the free Gimp, Strange Wings, but you do very well anyway. I guess it might make your job a little easier, but then you'd have to take the time to learn.

Right, I still haven't come around to give it a shot! Shame on me! Oh well, I'm sure I'll give it a try it someday, actually I'm openminded enough for any kind of graphic programs.

I am sorry I posted the thing, it was rather Risqué. I should have used the moderator thread.

BTW, does anybody know how to put the ' over the e? I did it by googling 'risque' & copying wikipedia's 'Risqué.' Normally, I would use MS Word, but there must be a keyboard shortcut for the thing. irate:

It's alt + 130, but when I type it in Firefox, it goes to the previous page instead. It must be a shortcut for something else in that software.

(In case you wonder, here we use French keyboards, which include an "é" key, so we don't have to type "alt + 130" every time! I still know the shortcut because I had a friend who had an English keyboard... :d oh: I also remember ¡ (0161) and ¿ (0191) from my Spanish classes! )

In the old version of this forum, sometimes the accents would be replace by random characters...

It is possible to use the notepad to "pretype" the text. I do that when I have an impossible keyboard ( with all the mess I do, I happen to have sometimes truly random keyboards ) .
Of course, it's not easy to switch to notepad, use alt+xyz "hack", copy, paste, go back in whatever software you are using...
Another possibility would be to switch to another keyboard, but that would need to learn a new layout.

Otherwise, there is an utility that allows to type everything you want in a not too difficult way. It is called "character map", "character set", or "character selector" (don't remember the exact name). It shows a grid with all the characters for a given code page. All latin characters, including their most common variants, are in the first code page. Other characters, such as Greek alphabet, can be found in the following pages. It can be used to type almost all characters, provided you can recognize them in the grid
