Greatest Guitarist Ever?

Postby crazyd2000 » 18 years ago

For me, it would be a three way tie between Jimi Hendrix (Jimi Hendrix experience, Band of Gypsies) Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) and Kurt Cobain (Nirvana)

Actually, I do not consider myself qualified to say who is best. However, I know what I like: energetic music whose lyrics I can actually understand without needing to read them. I guess I should say that the singers should sing so that the words are clearly understood. Some modern songs are incomprehensible, the guys seem like they are being strangled as they sing. :p

I also insist on songs that actually ryhme. None of this ryhming a word with itself, anyone can do that. I guess "fun, fun, fun" seems like the worst offender; yet, it is so obvious that it does not bother me. :D

Yeah, I understand that, it is good for a song to have a good singer, good rhyme and of Corse good lyrics. Because songs what don’t have all that I don’t seem to like.

I'm a fan of classic rock, but Nirvana is my favorite band.
Hendrix was just pure guitar genius
Page was brilliant with songs like Stairway

I just fought about it, the best Greatest Guitarist Ever is Slash from guns'n'roses. But in the gun'n'roses band he is called Axel rose. The one with all the hair and the hat.
