Oh I see now, so summer and winter in the USA are going to start at different times now?
If so I think that has some thing to do with the warming of the planet or cooling.
Y2K bug? Ive heard about but never understood what it was.

Not summer and winter, only summer and winter times (the moment when you change 1 hour at the clocks).

Nothing to do with that.

Here is some informations on Y2K bug.

Y2K was a moment that the date was going to change from 1999 to 2000 and no one knew if there computer calanders would surpass that high. They weren't shure if the computers would accept the double zero date. It so happened that some computers actually malfuntioned due to this phenomenon but some did manage to keep going, mainly the new computers.
This was a concern especially for old software, you know, the old COBOL applications for example
This wasn't specific to COBOL though, but specifities of the language and the fact it is the oldest language still active (more than 30 years even at that moment) made applications done in this language the most suspicious.
30 years before Y2K, most people weren't even thinking their application would still be in use at Y2k, and therefore used to code 2 digits for the year (71 for 1971 for exemple) to save space (memory was scarce at these times). 00 was considered an error (meaning 1900). Y2K could cause 99 to roll to 00 (or even 19100), or cause an overflow, depending on the language and the software itself. Because some softwares sometimes could use 99 as an error, 1st january 1999 had a few bugs too, but it is less widely known.
Now to have a good laugh, did you hear of the 2038 bug? Yeah of course, it is in 30 years, so who cares
Things go quickly with computer science, so end of the world comes more often :d evil:

Crazy weather the US is having! A cold front reaching Texas? That's crazy!
Oh, by the way, Moderators, I will ask you guys to update my profile. Not yet though. Just get ready. I had emailed Mark along time ago, no reply.

We got a big snowstorm yesterday. Many people had already taken off their winter tires!

It was the same overhere a few weeks ago, a case that can definitely be filed under 'Murphy's Law'.
It has become my habit to strictly not change tires until middle of April. Many people tend to mount their summer tires as soon as several sunny days have passed. By keeping up their patience to wait a few more weeks, they could have spared themselves a lot of swearing.
Some ordinary everyday life problems still appear to be international.
