LOL Oh I know how you feel! Despite being Canadian I was raised using the imperial system. My father is a contractor, so everything he does is in standard measurments. Math homework was always extremly hard cause everything was in metric and all dad taught me was standard! It lead to a lot of fights with him VS the math teacher, because TECHNICALLY I'd have the right answer in imperial, but the text book wants a metric answer!
I think the metric system is great for anything under an inch. I think saying millimeter is easier then fractions like 1/4. Anything over that though.. it bugs me. Someones says they're 5'6", that makes sence. Tell me you're 1.74 meters or something and I'm thinking your tiny!

And try and build anything with the metric system? Yikes! :d oh: Tell me you want a 2X6X12 and I know excatly what your talking about. Tell me that in metric and I'll look at you blindly. No hardware store anywhere that I know of is in metric (and I've worked at a few), all building material is still imperial!
