Astro's world craizier than ever and getting repetitive (the 6th part?)

Postby Ataru Moroboshi » 17 years ago

Every three months, one finds a large bunch o' new images to show. These are tha new and weirder ones:

Image

Nappa loved Astro, but Vegeta hated him. All Dragon Ball fans know the rest (and I have been a hardcore Dragon Ball fan since 1991).

Image

"Astro" vs "Freezer" :shifty:
Image

Kawaii Astro-chan from the feiry land of Microsoft Paint

Image

Another dose of cutesy.

Image

:santa:

Image

:santa: (I just cannot help it :w00t: )

Image

Actually, this is not crazy, but I have a pillow like this in my house. I bought it just a month ago (1st of november) in a manga convention for 22 € (about 30 $).

Image

Put a 50 ft. Astro in your inflatable stand! (If it gets windy, we're not responsable).

Image

WHAT THE... Let me take a bite!

Image

Maybe in order to avoid confusions, Astro decided to take a trip to the real world, and he was greeted by some authorities:

Image

In spite of being a cyborg, Astro conserves the ancient spirit of tradicional Japan.

Image

A meal in Saitama: Ramen! Or maybe udon? WTH: Noodles.

Image

Supporting ecology on urban enviroments

Image

No comment :whistling:

And to end all this...

Image

 That's what I call a nice cosplay.

And that was it... For now :d evil:

It's very strange, my friend bought me that same Astro pillow when she went to Japan a few years ago. And a Black Jack shower scrub!!! :w00t:

I'd love to keep Astro in my pocket! :p "Whenever you need it" or something, as one credit card company said? Of course! :D

Those Japs are really the emperors of merchandising. And the best of all is that almost everything they do is cool as hell (I love to match opposite concepts :p ). For instance, while looking for these pics I saw a photograph of what looks like an Astro wine bottle opener (however, for a bottle of wine, the best charachter is Unico! Bad joke, bad joke, I know)

Precisely now I am looking for some Dragon Ball, One Piece or Inuyasha goodies
for my bro, and man I'm busy doin' it.

I wonder whether it is a genuine credit card

Erm... Astro's not a cyborg  Cyborgs still have human parts from their former body (usually at least the brain) ;)
Inspector Gadget and Robocop are cyborgs.
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

Yeah, you're right

My bad for double reasons:

1-Because I actually knew it, but didn't remember at that moment: they said it in Marine Express: Astro = robot; Millie=Cyborg. (For those who haven't seen Marine Express, Millie is a girl robot who can bleed, and has some internal organs: like Fafner states, a true cyborg). Astro (Adam in the film) and she fall in love with each other).

2-Fred Schodt (or maybe the "paperback writer" who made the text in the back cover?) calls Astro a cyborg more than once in "The Astro Boy Essays", and... And I just took the only wrong info on all the (awesome) book! Dang it!

3 -(a gift for all Inspector Gadget fans)- Dr. Claw's face sucked: http://progressiveboink.com/archive/drclaw.html
