Unfortunetly I don't have any inside scans, but from what I hear it's just scans from the movie.

The writing on the book covers' top reads "nihon terebi komikkusu, anime ...." (can't figure out the one kanji character following).
I guess 'nihon terebi komikkusu' stands for 'japanese television comics'.

Astro is cute on each of these pictures. I love the drawing style but many characters have different design. Who is the robot here? It's like Bruton looking like Photar.

It's got to be Photar, but the way Astro is heading at him makes him look like being a villain.
Maybe it's a manga based upon Photar being the main character (besides Astro of course)?

I checked it myself. You're right, the pose Astro's doing is similar to that you mentioned. Just mirrored - and Pruton's horn is missing in his clutching hand.

Hi- Thanks Strange Wings, that picture is so cute. I love that picture of Astroboy blushing, i think Dragonrider 1227 uses it. Both pictures are cute.
