UFOs aren't paranormal occurrences. They are considered as such because people who see UFOs usually are the ones who see paranormal occurrences as well.

Before wondering what they are, I would first wonder whether they actually exist. And the problem is that I already can't answer this question: it is not falsifiable (ie: there is no way to mount an experiment that might prove it false, on top of never having been observed scientifically).
