I always thouth Duke Red was kinda suspious in that subject..i mean didn't the relationship of Rock and Duke-Red in Metropoils just seemed kinda weird?

He seems to have a very feminine personna regardless. What comes to mind is the long eyelashes and very regal stature.

I have a japanese booklet compiled of various sories with Lamp in them, and in one (which looks like Tezuka illustrated it in the early 50s) I believe Duke Red is portrayed as a woman. Of course it's hard to tell since I don't read Japanese, but I'm pretty sure of it. If you would like, I could provide some scans.

I still kind of see them still as father-&-son. But I've never seen Duke married, Rock went pretty ballistic when Tima replaced him, and there IS that Duke Red x Skunk Kusai fan group...

I think Rock was pretty ballistic before Tima was even created....i mean he was spying on his father and was pretty much obbesed with him trough out the entire movie, his only motive to kill Tima was due to his insane `suspious` yealousy.

Yes and according to Tezuka it was really hard getting his populairty back,
it right after the Blue Knight issue where Astro got destroyed , oh Shay tried to recover it but with no use, so Tenma did it but Tenma rebuilt him without his memories ( like in the anime version he gets them back )
however slight difference was that Astro was reborn as to think badly of humans ( excluding Tenma himself )
but don't worry in the end of the next volume he turns good again.

Yeah, I read that point of the series and I could see why it didn't fare well with Astro's readers. That's like turning Superman into a villian. (And I mean a REAL villian, not the brainwashed stuff they've done in the past) Wasn't this the point also where Tenma started believing robots could rule over humans?

again Yes, he also enoyed the fact Astro became a jerk and did alot of trouble in Japan, however trough one of the last isues ( when Astro goes to Africa to start a robot nation/live there and with the raise of Prince Bulko to kill of Humanity ) Tenma did not looked that happy when his dream almost came true and to his suprise Astro became good and in the last story of the volume Tenma became desprate tries to get Astro back, ( as you can see from Fauna' and my pannels ) he almost killed Astro's robot parents to do so, but half trough he gives up.

Well, it's less of a group and more of a smattering of fans...there's a few stories on FanFiction.net, and a few pictures on Japanese fan sites. There are some very weird little fan sites...
