"Frankenstein"
I did this before, but it seems to have been lost. I'm sorry. Try watching 25 and 1/2 hours of DVD in a few days, rewinding frequently, typing as you go, thinking back many years, trying to check your spelling, and still do your day job -- and you will make mistakes, too.
But it's important that a record be made of what we did. We have all been invisible to you until now.
So . . . here we go. "Frankenstein." Another extremely early show. I remember the first episodes and last episodes the best; I think because the first ones were so exciting to me, and later because as we shut down production I knew a special family would soon disperse. Doing this series was so hard, like fighting a war, and we were bonded. I wanted to remember this time in my life. I was so proud, and I thought it would never end. But then it did.
Dave is my sidekick here -- Rich did him in every other show; an unusual slip-up in our otherwise regular casting. I am Skunk. Bad voice work from me, because Del, our director, wanted me to sound "hooty." I never knew what he meant then, and I still do not know now. We went back and forth over it, and I never pleased him. All I knew is that it made the characterization change from show to show, and that was bad, and I have always been embarrassed by it. Later, I got my way -- pure Skunk is full, deep, and throaty. This sounds lisping.
But children here still ask me to do the Skunk laugh

-- really!
You hear the quaver in my voice? That is what I picked up from Harold Peary, a great radio 1930s actor I have mentioned above many times. I tried to be friends with him, but he was shy.
Brian is not so good as Elefun -- he had not yet arrived at the full characterization. As I have stated before, he is probably the finest actor I have ever known; this just was such an early show.
HAHAHAH! I remember completely doing these lines as I see the monster the first time!
YAY! Pointy Livian! Undressed yet again. Can someone buy her a sweathirt? Let's start a Livian clothing collection fund.
The "diamonds" alarmist is Dave. All regular cast are the same (Gumshoe, McLaw, Theodore, Alvin). Announcer is Del Lewis, our director.
Robot chef is Kahlei. She is also the big, bald moustached boss who fires everyone.
Ha! Rich as Alvin beats up on Astro's dad. Paul voices dad here. Another odd slip-up! Rich was always dad otherwise. This show is all over the map.
I am the butler. Alvin's dad is Rich. Rich is the car driver in the wreck.
