I'm reading "Mai the Psychic Girl" and "Of Mice and Men" at the moment, but the problem is that I can't find the remaining volumes of Mai. [It's about twenty years old.]

- Starcross by Philip Reeve
- Monstrous Regiment by Terry Pratchett
- Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
And bits of an H.P. Lovecraft anthology here and there. Some of the reading for class has been very good too, especially the short story "And of Clay Are We Created" by Isabel Allende. Short, but very powerful and sad.

Is that the Lolita from which the term Lolicon derives?[/QUOTE]
It is, actually. The Lolita Complex and Lolicon were both named for this book (which probably gives you an idea of how disturbing it can be. It's a good read but pretty unsettling at times.)

TCM showed a film titled 'Lolita' a few month ago, I suppose it was a weak version of this novel.

Never seen the movie, but the books are usually better. I'd think it would be kind of a hard book to make into a movie anyway.
